I met Dr Ortega a little over a year ago on my first appointment and afterwards I went down to my car and cried. Finally, I had hope that I could get my life back! I was so grateful that finally I was referred to a doctor that knew and understood everything I have been experiencing since 2017. Dr Ortega was very thorough in explaining the Cervical Radiculopathy ACDF procedure. I wanted to wait a year before writing this review and I have to tell you that it’s so wonderful to be able to sleep and to wake up and not have the constant pain and weakness in my neck and on my right arm and shoulder. The surgery and care afterwards was exceptional without any problems. Physical therapy in the same office was better than I have experienced elsewhere. They helped me get my strength back with stretches and exercises to maintain the muscle strength. Thank you Dr Ortega for truly giving me back my life!

I highly recommend Dr. Prem Ramkumar for a direct anterior (not posterior) total hip arthroplasty with robotic assistance. My left hip surgery was extremely successful and I was up walking the same day as the surgery and slowly progressed to walking unassisted 1-2 miles daily outside my home in just the first two weeks. Plus, much to my surprise, Dr. Ramkumar visited me in my hospital room in the evening no doubt after a very long day of multiple surgeries to check in and see how I was doing. Additionally, there were no complications during the surgery or during recovery! I especially appreciated his excellent information on pre and post surgery exercises to help with the recovery process along with a detailed daily pain medication schedule for the first week post surgery. Dr. Ramkumar is highly educated and very knowledgeable about both hips and knees and truly accomplished as an orthopedic specialist surgeon in these areas. Dr. Ramkumar is competent, capable, caring, personable, has a good sense of humor, is willing to listen and answer my endless questions, and I believe he truly tries to find the optimal solutions for his patients. I have waited over six months to add this very highly recommended post. I waited because each and everything I have had done for my back feels like a miracle but in a few short months I am right back where I started. Dr Prem Ramkumar has restored my faith in doctors. I live in Las Vegas and have found that unless you need a face lift or breast enhancements, this is not the place to have serious medical treatments done. I have had back and hip pain for almost 10 years. The sciatic pain I have in my left thigh is just debilitating. In the past I have had 3 back surgeries, a spinal stimulator inserted, numerous lumbar epidurals, sacroiliac epidurals, traction, and seriously more physical therapy than I can count. Even with insurance, I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on my back. Along side of the back I have suffered with a flaming hip pain that would not go away. I went to LA to see Dr. Amandeep Bhalla as he was highly recommended to get a second opinion on another back surgery that was needed. After actually listening to me, he wanted me to see Dr Ramkumar who is a hip specialist. I rolled my eyes, I did not want another problem. My husband talked me into seeing him, As it turned out, he found that the abductor tendon in my hip was torn and had probably been torn for years! It wasn’t the dreaded bursa that every doctor tried to heal. He said that not only could he make my hip feel better, but this condition also causes back pain! He said that after surgery he could potentially fix 50% of my back pain. Against my better judgement I decided to have the surgery. I will say he has a very strict regimen that needs to be followed after surgery but it truly felt like a miracle. I was hip pain free within a couple weeks, I mean pain FREE. My sciatic nerve calmed down. And when my back hurts now, I am convinced it is arthritis and tylenol helps, just plain tylenol. It is 8 months later and I still have sciatic pain occasionally but it is easily managed and I can walk much better than I have in 10 years! Thank-you to Dr Ramkumar and his amazing staff.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Wassef. He takes time to listen and address any concerns of each patient.I had a hip replacement done by him in 2018 and my hip has been wonderful. I walk about 12 miles a week and it has never given me any issues. I will be having a total shoulder replacement surgery with him soon. TL:DR - go to this surgeon.he is the best. This was my second ACL Repair, a decade after the first and on the opposite knee. Dr. Ramkumar is an expert! I had my first surgery done at Kerlan and Jobe, and Dr. Ramkumar was noticeably better. His history of working with athletes is clearly evident. He boils down all the information and treatment plan in such an approachable way that it makes the long road to recovery seem very attainable and achievable. I hope I never have to use him again but if I get injured I know who I will call.

I had used a walker for 10 yrs due to a previous failed spinal fusion and with a bent metal rod protruding from my back.
