Amazing surgeon, this is the man to trust your spinal health to. Staff is wonderful as well, Marineh was always so helpful. Had cervical disc replacement, 2 levels, and I'm about 16 months out now and doing great. Easy recovery especially compared to other procedures I've had. Dr. Khurana has more of a conservative approach which I appreciate, but he also has the knowledge to know when something will do better with surgery. His bedside manner is wonderful which isn't always the case with surgeons, and he takes his time to explain things thoroughly. Thanks Dr. K and team!

INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE – Dr. Wassef, Jason his assistant and Mason from the Stryker MAKO team were amazing! Dr. Wassef is a highly respected and sough-after joint replacement surgeon and I am thrilled with the results. I have had several different kinds of surgeries but never experienced the level of technical detail from the medical evaluation, surgery analysis, pre-op training materials, nutritional recommendations, surgical preparation, exercise training videos and Dr. Wassef’s post-surgical care. I had a severely compromised knee with bone spurs and a second knee that was not much better so I scheduled to have both knees done about 12 weeks apart. I have had some friends and family members have different experiences with joint replacement so I decided if I am going to do this once I wanted the best surgeon I could find and did extensive research. Based on Dr. Wassef’s recommendation I committed to strength training before the surgery to help with the healing process and was amazed at my recovery. The support staff was very professional and you can tell Dr. Wassef is highly respected at the surgery center based on the number of comments I received about this patient outcomes.

My daughter & I visited Dr. Estess to take care of my daughter's ganglion cyst. From the moment we walked into the office, we experienced a warm, caring, and superior staff: everyone from assistants at the front desk, the x-ray technician, Dr Estess' assistant, and Dr. Estess' herself. Dr. Estess took the time to explain everything to my daughter and me and to offer care options. My daughter suffers from anxiety disorder and while she was anxious in the outer waiting room, once she met the x-ray tech her anxiety subsided. She remained relaxed throughout the rest of the visit. Dr. Bae and his team were amazing, start to finish. It’s hard to believe that something as complex as Cervical Disc Replacement surgery could be handled so smoothly, and the fact that it was completely an outpatient procedure made it even more comfortable. I’m going to be recovering for a bit but I just had the surgery a week ago and I’m already feeling 200% better. Would definitely recommend Dr. Bae to anyone in need of this kind of procedure!

Every chance I get, I tell people about Dr. Prem Ramkumar. Here’s why. He masterfully replaced my left hip using the Anterior approach or entering from the front versus the posterior. Having replaced both hips, one by anterior and one by posterior, I officially know the difference. Dr. Ramkumar informed me that the Anterior method means fewer restrictions, less pain and quicker healing. He was right. OK, no one gets out of surgery pain-free, but if you take his advice and follow up with physical therapy (I love the team at the Long Beach Orthopedic Institute) you’ll be functioning in no time. Example: I was walking the first day and driving in a week. Turns out, there is more than one way to replace a hip. Find out what’s right for you. Dr. Ramkumar is specially trained in the Anterior approach. Not every surgeon is. Dr. Ramkumar has also operated on Olympic athletes. If I had a Gold medial, I’d give it to Dr. Ramkumar and his wonderful team. By the way, he’s also funny. Humor is the best medicine of all.

I was suffering terribly with neck pain for years and my last resort option was surgery. Prior to going to Dr. Bae my option was fusion of the discs in my neck that would limit my neck movement. Dr Bae offered another option that would give me complete mobility in my next that would not involve fusion. He spent a lot of time with me explaining the procedure and its previous successes. His staff was amazing as well. I am so happy with the results; no more pain or debilitating migraines and I now have complete flexibility of movement in my neck. Dr Bae has been a godsend and I would highly recommend him to anyone who is suffering from spinal issues.

Not enough room to say all of the great things Dr. Khurana and his staff have done for me in the last several years. Multiple lumbar fusions, decompressions, reinstumentations, revisions, cervical disc replacement, the continuing care to get me out of pain. It's an ongoing process with severe degenerative disc disease but every level, every surgery is done with extreme caution and care, keeping what's best for me always in mind. Good people here and I won't go anywhere else!!

I would never recommend anyone that I wouldn't go to myself and find to be extremely thorough.
