Dr. Ramkumar diagnosed and solved a problem that has caused me back pain for over 20 years, going back to collegiate athletics. What I thought was a back problem was actually a hip/femur issue. Dr. Ramkumar diagnosed it immediately, and worked with my insurance to have surgery approved. The surgery went off without a hitch. I felt no pain after the surgery (even when the meds wore off), either at the incision site or within my hip/back. My previous back pain was almost immediately gone. Minah and the physical therapy staff were also incredible in getting me back to better than before. If all doctors were like Dr. Garabekyan, the world would be a better place. My husband and I moved from Idaho for me to get treatment with Dr. G for my bilateral hip dysplasia and labral tears (scope + PAO), and we are certain that we could not have picked a better surgeon. He has completely redefined my outlook on healthcare; I never knew doctors could be this patient, involved, compassionate, and genuine. I am 14 weeks post-op, I’m thrilled to be gradually returning to the activities I love! Dr. Ramkumar is, without a doubt, the best orthopedic surgeon I’ve ever met—and I’ve seen quite a few for different injuries. From my very first appointment, I knew I was in great hands. He took the time to thoroughly explain my condition, answered all my questions, and was realistic about both the recovery process and potential outcomes. His transparency and attentiveness gave me a strong sense of confidence going into surgery. There was an issue with my insurance initially refusing to authorize the surgery, which was incredibly stressful, but Dr. Ramkumar’s office took care of everything. They worked tirelessly to get the approval without any delays, and I’m so grateful for their advocacy and professionalism. The surgery went perfectly! Dr. Ramkumar even stopped by afterward to check on me, and I was able to ask some last-minute questions. While I understand his schedule doesn’t always allow for this, I really appreciated the extra care. Recovery has been much smoother than I anticipated, with no pain at all. I followed his post-op protocol strictly and asked additional questions whenever I felt uncertain. Before surgery, we discussed my preference to avoid opioids if possible, but we agreed it was wise to have them on hand just in case. I ended up only needing two half-doses for the first two nights to help me sleep. I started physical therapy the day after surgery and followed Dr. Ramkumar’s recovery guidelines, including stationary biking. It’s crucial to remember that large potion of any successful recovery depends on your own dedication to PT, so staying diligent is key. Dr. Ramkumar is not only an exceptionally skilled surgeon but also a compassionate and caring person who truly puts his patients first. If you’re considering labrum repair—or other hip/knee procedures—do yourself a favor and schedule a consult with him. No matter where you’re located, it’ll be worth it!

I had a problem with my knee for nine months, and had been seeing another orthopedic surgeon who had misdiagnosed me. Luckily, I had the good sense to obtain a second opinion from Dr. Millstein. Dr. Millstein made a diagnosis in literally two minutes, and my knee was operated on about two weeks later. After nine months of walking with extreme pain in my right knee, I obtained complete relief in a very short period of time. Extremely grateful to be able to walk without pain, and extremely grateful to this excellent doctor, who did not even need to obtain any imaging studies whatsoever to make my diagnosis. As a doctor myself, my advice for anyone out there who is experiencing frustration with their doctors's diagnosis is to obtain a second opinion! Not all doctors know what the hell they're doing. And with medicine getting busier and crazier than ever before, and insurance companies less and less willing to pay for tests, outstanding doctors such as Dr. Millstein are becoming more and more crucial.

Dr. Millstein has been my husband, brother, nephew and many friends' go to doctor with all their shoulder and knee issues. Having recently been dealing with shoulder pain I opted to see him for some feedback. Everyone had told me what a great doctor he is but getting to meet him and seeing his bedside manner firsthand made me wholeheartedly agree with them. Dr. Millstein took his time to go over my images and reports and thankfully told me that all I need is Physical Therapy (not surgery) to get better. He was very forthright, knowledgeable and welcoming and encouraged me that I can always reach out to him personally should I have any questions or concerns. Dr. Millstein really cares about his patients. It is evident from the second you meet him that he really is there to help you and not push for surgery unless it's needed. Always a pleasant visit. The moment you enter the office door you are greeted by the staff. Then you meet with Dr Bhalla, who just happens to be the most pleasant doctor I have encountered. He always has your best interest and wants you to be healthy. Once you have met with him and are leaving, you encounter Roni who always stops you and gives you a 🤗. They are the BEST. Dr. Kamrava is down to earth and personable. I was desperate to be seen by a pain managment and Dr. Kamrava was able to have a phone call appt pretty fast. Dr. Kamrava put me at ease on the call and we scheduled a procedure for today, Oct. 8th, 2024, so I promise to have an update in the future. But so far, he deserve the 5 starts. The staff is great and Nora, his personal assistant, is amazing. She went out of her way to communicate with me and my insurance, to insure that the procedure is going to be done as originally scheduled. Hi highly recommend Dr. Kamrava's office.

A few years ago, my neck went out. I couldn't lift my head up at all, and the pain was excruciating! I went to a local orthopedic office, and right away they referred me to Dr Khurana. He looked at my X-ray, and said that it needed to be fixed asap. Collapse discs needed fusing, and this hardware attached. My only problem was my insurance- who insisted I see some morons who didn't specialize in spinal surgery. Hello? This is my neck- not my knee, etc. Took a month of fighting, and they finally approved it. I was so scared! My cervical neck is vital to my spine, and I have had many surgeries in my life! But he was kind, very confident, and respected in his field. My surgery went by the book- every thing he told me. I recovered very well, and you can't find my scar! The rest of my neck is going, as he warned me it would, so I need to get the rest fixed. I wouldn't dream of trusting anyone else on this delicate part of my spine! He's the best! I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs spinal surgery. Amazing staff there, and caring. Thank you Dr Sanjay, and will see you again! There is no doubt Dr. Khurana is one of the most talented spine surgeons in the country. However, his talents go far beyond his surgical skills. By way of background, I had an artificial disc replacement at the L5-S1 level. After a decade of countless epidurals and two microdiscetomies, I finally opted for surgery. Everything went as planned. To say “Dr Khurana has been there every step of the way” is a massive understatement. He has called me numerous times post-surgery to ask how I’m doing and walk me through what to expect next from my body during the recovery. I have never encountered such a thoughtful and caring doctor in all my years. You can hear it in his voice and more importantly see it in his actions. I couldn’t be more thankful for what he has done to get me through both my surgery and my ongoing recovery. Now for his staff. I have to thank Jessica and Nancy for making the pre-op process so smooth. They walked me through the process and helped me take care of everything I needed to do prior to the surgery. I have to give a special thank you to Jessica for dealing with my insurance company. It feels like an on-going battle, but I have a feeling all will work out with Jessica fighting by my side. Although I haven't seen Dr. Millstein yet and I'm literally just sitting in the waiting room, I had to share my experience thus far with this unbelievable office. Three days ago I fell and broke my wrists, collarbone and a rib. After a quick ER visit, I was told to find an orthopedic specialist to determine what to do next. I called every office around Venice and unfortunately was rejected by all of them because "we don't take new patients at the moment"... I explained that I'm in incredible pain but no luck. Until I called Dr. Eric Millstein's office! The reception ladies were the sweetest and understood my situation and made a true effort to get me in ASAP. Insurance, payments and other items were far from being a priority. I felt like they genuinely wanted to help. The intake form portal and X-ray uploading platform were very user-friendly and it took me less than 5 min to complete it all. They booked me an appointment a week out but kept on updating me on cancellations. A day later a Susie answered my call and was able to squeeze me in to see the Dr. (I can't even describe to you how sweet and helpful this woman is!!) Schevobnn checked me in with the outmost professionalism and I'm currently waiting for the Dr. Highly recommended

Would give this guy 100 stars if I could! Was referred by both one of my best friends and my son who is an insurance defense lawyer who uses both drs Kaye and Millstein as their ortho experts. Had rotator cuff surgery and was expecting the worst, given all of the people I talked to who had the same procedure done. Couldn't have been easier. Little pain and discomfort, but that should be expected why you get high quality care. Dr. Millstein was out of network but paid his fee in cash happily. I'm playing golf this weekend, 14 weeks post surgery. Dr. Millstein's CV is ridiculous, as are his doctor and surgical skills.

Incredible results from an incredible spine surgeon! Dr. Hyun Bae possesses a completely different level of understanding and surgical skill-set that elevates him well above his peers in his field of expertise. Just look at his resume, it's clear why he's considered the best spine surgeon in the U.S. by those who've had the pleasure of being repaired by him. It wasn't by chance that I went to Dr. Bae, I researched spine surgeons in the U.S. extensively and interviewed several before concluding Dr. Bae was clearly the most talented surgeon I could select. And he didn't disappoint me! The entire staff at The Spine Institute Center for Spinal Restoration is very professional and highly efficient. This included scheduling my appointments, working with my insurance company, coordinating my surgeries and all follow-up appointments, including phone calls checking on my recovery progress. Tackling my complicated issue required two separate cervical spine surgeries. The first consisted of a posterior laminotomy, medial facetectomy and foraminotomy at level C7/T1, followed 3-weeks later with a complete 2-level anterior disc replacement at levels C5/C6 & C6/C7. State of the art titanium/polymer artificial discs were securely implanted, providing me with a full range of motion and pain-free use of my neck. Both surgeries were performed at the Advanced Surgical Center of Beverly Hills on an outpatient basis, which would have been unimaginable just 5-years ago. Amazingly, my disc replacement surgery began at 7am and I was in my vehicle being driven home at 1pm the same day, wearing only a soft neck brace for the ride home, which I never needed to wear again. My recovery and pain management has been way better than anticipated. In fact, the most difficult part of my entire recovery has been forcing myself to take it easy to give myself time to heal, simply because I feel so good. It's only been 7-weeks since my second surgery and I honestly feel like I can physically do anything without pain or limitations. I'm patiently waiting for Dr. Bae's clearance before returning to my regular workouts, active lifestyle, and pursuit of competitive golf. My recommendation to anyone in the U.S. searching for the finest spine surgeon available to diagnose and perform spine surgery on them is to include Dr. Hyun Bae on your list to interview. Resist the urge of selecting your spine surgeon simply based on geographical conveniences. Travel if necessary, your spine is too important.

The Team of Dr. Garabekyan and his Medical Assistant Zohra are like no other. I was in denial of the seriousness of my hip pain. He was highly recommended by a friend. During my initial visit Dr. Garabekyan spent time explaining what was causing my hip pain and provided clarification of treatment options. We both knew that this would be a surgical case. He was patient enough with me to work on my schedule and not push surgery until I had time off from work. Now to Zohra, she is amazing! Had multiple issues with my insurance company approving imaging and the actual surgery, but she worked thoroughly to get everything approved in time. I am now almost two-months post-op and OMG wish I had heard of Dr. Garabekyan years ago. I no longer have pain in my hip! He's a godsend!!! Not to mention his work ethic, bedside manner, and how much he truly cares for each patient. 10/10 would highly recommend to anyone having issues with their hips

A bit frustrated by the office as I scheduled an appointment 2 weeks in advance and was told my insurance covered my appointment (Anthem EPO; just FYI, they do take PPOs, but not EPOs), and I was not notified until I arrived that my insurance would not cover the appointment. I should have confirmed with my provider, but it's hard not to trust the people with experience at the front desk. Nevertheless, Dr. Millstein still saw me and didn't charge me. I only had a minor tendon injury in my foot, so it wasn't much to diagnose and for him to give me some basic advice, but I still found the fact that he would see me despite the mistake a sign of good character and a good doctor. He also offered to look at a list of orthopedists my insurance covers (from the Anthem site) and give his rec, something I thought was a good way to make up for the mistake. These things happen, and I think it speaks volumes as to how this practice is run that they did the best to accommodate me despite the confusion of our insurance system in this country, hence the 5 stars.

Didn't matter that I am in-between insurance coverage, he gave me a great deal on the visit and said if I need to have surgery, he will help me find a doctor in-network that he would talk to about what I needed and make sure I was in good hands.
