I am so grateful to Dr. Khurana and his staff. I am leaving on a lengthy trip today but a couple of days ago my back was so painful I was worried I had reinjured it and I wouldn’t be safe to travel. When I called the office and spoke with Nancy, she was unbelievably accommodating and arranged an MRI the same evening. Then, she squeezed me into Dr. Khurana’s busy schedule the following day!!! I received great treatment from Dr. Khurana and he confirmed that I was able to travel!!! I am soooo very grateful to Nancy, David and Dr. Khurana for their compassion, sensitivity and treatment. He's my hero. I am 61 years old, had terrible stenosis at L3-4, L4-5. In 2 hours of outpatient surgery he gave me my life back. Pre-surgery, I could hardly move; I considered myself partially paralyzed. And now, I am hiking 5 days a week, 4.5 miles, with a 1000 feet elevation gain and a 1.5 mile run at the end of it. Game changer.

Dr Khurana has been my surgeon and follow doctor for me spine problems. He is never rushed when I visit and always explain the condition. I had surgery 3 1/2 years ago and have bee. Dr. Khurana has been my neuro-surgeon for almost 2 years. He performed two surgeries on me- my neck and my lower back on February 2021. Dr.Khurana is an excellent surgeon, very good bed side manners, very caring, lots of empathy. I highly recommend him for any one who has spine issues.

Dr. Khurana performed a successful sciatic surgery on me in Sept. of 2019. The surgery eliminated all and any pain almost immediately. It was so good, I did not need any follow up therapy. On June 1st, 2021 I had gotten out of my car, & after shutting the door I was hit by a car driven by a woman who was talking on the phone and crossed the parking dividing lines, striking me on the direct spot of my successful surgery. Since then I've been through therapy, and will most likely need another surgery. In my opinion Dr. Khurana is the best Spine Specialist in the Country, although I'm sure there are other excellent Surgeons. I highly recommend Dr. Khurana to anyone experiencing Orthopedic spinal problems. Respectfully M. Pappas

Dr Khurana has been very influential in my life and he is humble about it, that he probably doesn't realize that. I am a Spine and Sports Medicine physical therapist that has been helping people with debilitating spinal pain. I only bring that up because when I had back surgery, he demonstrated good bedside manner, compassion, expertise and most importantly, I've been able to perform at a high level... lifting weights and being active with three kids 15 years later. When I had to make the decision on who to do my spine surgery at age 28, (I am 42 now) I went and had consultations by the best. I was a spine specialist at that time and went to numerous conferences, so those were who I reached out to. I had second, third , and fourth opinions. Khurana was my fourth and he was the only one that showed compassionate care. Btw I had a disc that was sequestered (broke off). He taught me that being the best is not enough as a practitioner. It is important to also be compassionate and caring. To practice listening. We don't get taught this in school. I've referred my colleagues and patients to him and they come back with the same beautiful stories as you are reading. I hope Dr Khurana is reading this review and to know that he is truly a gem in this field. Wishing everyone who is reading this the best recovery. I know it's a scary place to be when you are in pain and deciding to have surgery or not, you don't know who to trust, and I hope this LONG over due review can help you.

I had an L2/L3 micro decompression with Dr. Khurana in May, 2022. All things considered, I could not be happier...of course wishing I wasn't in this boat, I found Dr. Khurana and his office superb. Kind, caring, knowledgeable, practical...they put the package together well. At the outset, we had some small issues with getting timely return calls, but that issue went away once we got really into the process. It's clear (in a very good way) that they do this for a living and really, really, really know what they are doing...the issues I had were, for them, commonplace. I guess that's where a patient wants things to be. Physically, I am vastly better (I can walk more than 50 yards again!) with some relatively minor residual nerve issues in my lower leg. Dr. Khurana is, again, very knowledgeable, considerate, caring, practical and communicative about those issues...in the real world (again, of course, wishing I didn't have them), I couldn't ask for anything more. Overall, I am extremely pleased to have chosen Dr. Khurana for my surgery.
