Dr Wassef Performed a total hip replacement on my right hip. I found him to be outstanding in every way. Before the surgery, but very clear on in every aspect. Also, very patient with me and spent a lot of time explaining the situation. The surgery and the aftermath have been fantastic so far. The technique Dr. Wassef uses seems to smaller scar and less muscle cutting than other techniques An outstanding performance from beginning to end.

Dr. Bhalla was great specially for being my first surgery, (not that I want more)I've never broken anything or had any surgery done I had a herniated disk on my spinal and was skeptical about the surgery, I was loosing strength on my left leg and felt numbness and tingling, but Dr. Bhalla was able to walk me through the steps of what was going to happen and as well as my recovery using the latest technology. Now I feel great and I'm walking normal with out any issues. Thank you!!

Dr Khurana took me over as a failed decompression patient and performed a L4 and L5 fusion. I was discharged one day after surgery and a week later I am driving my car and have no pain from my sciatic after dealing with pain for 4 1/2 Years! Dr Khurana is my current hero! There needs to be more than 5 stars for Dr. Khurana, at least 10 or more! With much appreciation, Richard W. Roeder

I was referred to Dr. Bhalla due to excruciating pain in my left shoulder and arm. After x-rays and a MRI, Dr. Bhalla provided me with options to relieve my pain. After many discussions I chose to have Anterior Cervical Diskectomy and fusion w/instrumentation C4-7 surgery. I was discussing my upcoming surgery with friends and family and they would tell me they knew of someone who had the same surgery and it was very painful and I would be on bed rest for months. Dr. Bhalla had informed me of all risks associated with surgery but was confident he could help me relieve the pain thru surgery. He made me feel comfortable about going thru with this procedure. I attended a class and learned about surgery. I am very happy I had the surgery, my downtime was only three weeks with limited weight restrictions - best of all no more pain. I am so thankful to Dr. Bhalla who always has a smile and is very pleasant and easy to talk to. Charmaine 10-2017

Dr. Bhalla is a great man and a great surgeon. He operated on my son after his surfing accident that left him with very limited mobility on his left side and slightly more on his right. With Dr. Bhallla's highly skilled hands and with the Lords help my son walked out of rehab in just a month and 3 days after his accident. He was at Rancho Los amigos rehab in Downy Ca. The whole staff said it was a miracle that with his type of injury to be able to walk out on his own. Thank you Lord that guided this great surgeon's hands. for ever grateful to this great surgeon!

Dr Bhalla is a very conscientious and knowledge person and figured out my shoulder pain was actually a herniated disk in my cervical spine. He thoroughly explained my options for treatment and even suggested for me to get a second opinion before I decided to have surgery with him. The surgery was success and I'm very thankful for Dr. Bhalla's care during my whole ordeal.

My review is LONG OVERDUE ...Anyone with back problems knows "One size DOES NOT fit all". A friend of mine with escalating back issues, was asking for some information, on my surgeries. She is only 3 years out- from her last surgery with another doctor. I came to Yelp to get some information, on current doctors, etc. in this area. Dr. Khurana did my 3 surgeries OVER 10 years ago. He was understanding, and proceeded slowly with my treatment. I was very fearful of any fusion after years earlier seeing my Mother temporally being unable to walk after another doctor's spinal surgery. I am into my 10th year, some days are better than others, but Dr. Khurana has given me my life back. I try to be extra careful of my back these days, and am fairly active most of the time. If you are in need of back surgery - I urge you to see Dr. Khurana, he is an amazing doctor. I my opinion - you will be in the best of "hands".

Dr. Millstein has had to put my shoulders back together three times now. He's professional, compassionate and a true expert at what he does. You will not find a better surgeon or person for that matter to help put your body back together. He even did a PRP injection years ago on me for a few hundred dollars when others were charging thousands. I asked him why he would do that for me and he just said "I just want to see you healthy". Great guy and I'm so thankful he's been my surgeon for years.

Best possible outcomes because of Dr. Millstein! I couldn't be happier with my recent knee replacement that Dr. Millstein performed. And - I'm only 2 weeks out from the surgery! He was very upfront with the pros and cons for me. I have always felt that he truly cares about me and my situation. I have Lupus and arthritis and have deliberated the decision for the replacement for almost 10 years. I was told for the first few that I was too young for it at the time. I'm still technically too young since there is a possibility I'll have to have another one someday. But - Dr. M never pushed the surgery on me. In fact, he told me two years ago, that he wouldn't do it for "aggravating" only when it became unbearable. That happened this year when I was held back from almost all of the activities I have enjoyed my whole life. It was time. And I couldn't be more pleased with the results. I was a bit concerned at the start - because I got a UTI in the hospital and had to stay on a little longer. But - my care from Dr. Millstein and the residents on call took amazing care of me, gave me a lot of attention and clearly explained the issues and risks. I came home in fine shape, and was off to rehab! Best decision I've made regarding my health in a long time. I can't wait to ski, hike, bike and play in the coming months!

Dr. Milltein's office is at the top of their game. Any busy, successful physician is difficult with which to get an appointment. When my first appointment was booked 10 days out, I asked the receptionist, Zandra, to call me if they had any cancellations, and frankly I did not expect a call back. But the next day Zandra called saying, we've had a cancellation, can you be here in 90 minutes? You betcha'! I've have two appointments and never had to wait more than 10 minutes. Dr. Millstein said he needed to get approval from Anthem Blue Cross on Tuesday, but if approved, he could do the procedure on Wednesday, which is exactly what happened. In addition to Zandra, Beth, Antionette and Susana, Teri leads the medical assistant team. She got the approval, set up the injection tray and kept me informed at every turn of events. Teri stood out for her communication skills, obvious command of the medical procedures and showed real sincerity--are you feeling OK after the injection? Caring and competence inspires patient confidence.

Dr Wassef is an incredibly skilled surgeon who treats his patients like good friends. In less than 5 weeks after my hip replacement, I was back on the dance floor. My physical therapist was so impressed with my recovery that he released me after 12 sessions of therapy. If you’re considering hip, knee, or shoulder surgery, definitely get an opinion from Dr Wassef.

24 hrs since procedure. Very little pain. Great staff at long beach memorial.

Dr. Khurana is the best. I am 38 years old, and just recently had a ACDF C5/6 and I feel great. He is such an amazing surgeon and he came highly recommended to me and when I went to see him, I knew he was the one I wanted to perform the surgery. Don't wait, call him right away if you have neck pain, numbness weakness in your arms, legs, don't wait. His staff are so accommodating and his PA Katie was great too. From the moment I walked in the office in Marina Del Rey the entire staff is awesome. Good luck.

Dr. Estees Is great! She is an athlete herself and is very good at what she does. She gives good options and makes sure you're well informed. Will recommend

I could not have asked for a better team to do a C5-C6 disc replacement after a car accident left me with a disc herniation so severe, that it was flattening my spinal cord and blocking the passage of spinal fluid. Before the surgery I was in tremedious amounts of pain. Pain so bad that it limited my mobility greatly. My surgery was one month ago and it went very well. Dr. Bar and his team reassured me and made the feel comfortable and safe in their hands the whole way. In the fall of 2016 I underwent a different procedure (with a different surgeon completely unrelated to the spine), and experienced severe complications due to the anaesthesia. I was left with PTSD that took weeks of intensive therapy to help me overcome and months of physical and mental healing. I was terrified to go under anaesthesia again. Because of this Dr. Bae requested a specific anaesthesiologist, Dr. Ma. She was absolutely remarkable. Dr. Ma called me the Friday before my surgery and spoke to me for 20+minutes, asked about the previous surgery and reassured me she would do things differently and the complication would not occur again. Not only this, she requested the surgery notes from the previous surgery to understand what went wrong (by pulling favors and just generally going above and beyond). She also gave me her personal cell if I had any questions or concerns. Before the procedure she walked me through step by step what she would do and really calmed my nerves. When I woke up from surgery all was well and I did not even have the terrible anesthesia hangover. Pain since the surgery has decreased greatly, and everything seems to be healing nicely. The incision in my neck was clean, precise and will most likely fade with time. Both Dr. Bae, his team and Dr. Ma were wonderful and I would recommend them 1000x over.

After seeing two other doctors I am selected Dr. Bae to do my L4 L5 spinal fusion. Today will be 7 weeks since surgery and I am pain free, standing straight again and getting back to being my active self. Dr. Bae, his assistant, Lisa Cano, his surgery coordinator, Diana Cota-Cruz and all of his office staff are professional, knowledgeable and superb at what they do. They make back surgery as easy and painless as possible. I truly appreciate their expertise and their taking a personal interest in my case. I give Dr. Bae and his staff my highest recommendation for anyone looking for the best spine surgeon. I only wish I did my surgery sooner. Thank you Dr. Bae, Lisa, and the office staff for your outstanding work.

Dr Bae is talented and professional. He has an excellent staff. Lisa (his physician assistant) is amazing! They made the process of having spine surgery a lot less stressful. Thank you for all you do!

I had to have an emergency disc replacement and fusion C-6/C-7 after a disastrous appointment with a new chiropractor. Dr. Bae and all of his staff, especially Lisa Cano, are the very best at what they do. I received excellent care, information, everything from the surgery to scheduling follow up appointments. Thank goodness my own doctor brought Dr. Bae in to help me - I was flat on my back unable to move and in danger of spinal cord damage. I will always be grateful to Dr. Bae and his staff.

Dr. Bhalla is an excellent physician and helped me immensely. I had shooting pain down my leg and my health department doctor either thought I was faking or didn't know what was wrong. I went to see Dr. Bhalla and before even looking at my x-rays or MRI's, he immediately said it was a bulging disc. Physical therapy wasn't an option because it was a bad case, but Dr. Bhalla told me what to expect before the surgery, during the surgery, and after it. He was genuinely concerned with how I was doing and looked very happy after I was healed. Long story short, if you need to see an orthopedic doctor, I would request to be seen by Dr. Bhalla. Excellent doctor!

I chose Dr. Bae over three other, highly recommended spine surgeons and I'm totally convinced I chose brilliantly. I'm 85 years young and have been handicapped with spinal stenosis for forty years. My walking numbness, painful irritation and lack of good balance was ruining my life. I couldn't even walk my dog without sitting on the curb four or five times. I was afraid of an unsuccessful surgery, so I tried two other non surgical solutions. One was a San Fernando Valley fraud chiropractor who promised laser treatments would cure me. The only thing he cured was his empty wallet. Another "doctor" promised that pulling my spine apart with an expensive pulling machine would cure me. He robbed me of $6,000 without doing my spine one bit of good. I finally visited Dr. Bae because two close married friends both had been very happy with his surgery and the wonderful permanent results. Dr. Bae was wonderfully reassuring when he saw my MRI printout, and the successful results of the surgery proved him 100% right. I feel like a young buck again. Thanks Hyun Bae for making me feel smart as hell as well. Also, thankfully, Dr. Bae's P.A., Lisa was always available with intelligent and helpful answers to all of my questions. Jerry Mayer 5/16/17
