I've been seeing Dr. Millstein for almost 10 years now. Not every day of course. And not every year either. Within those 10 years, there could be stretches of 3 or 4 years where I didn't need to see him at all. However, when I do need to see Dr. Millstein, it's always a stellar experience. The combination of his hip sense of humor along with his superb skill honed over years of practice make for one of the best doctors I've ever had. The 2013 knee surgery and 2016 shoulder replacement were both amazing. Yes, he's not the only doctor who could've done this for me but I can't imagine I could've been in better hands. My visit yesterday was a follow-up. He went over x-rays with me and explained everything in a way that my non-medical brain could comprehend (as he always does). I'm confident every patient of his walks away believing they are his favorite patient. He is simply the best in L.A. Yes, I realize that's a bold statement considering I haven't met every orthopedic surgeon in the city but I stand by it all the same.

Dr Bhalla is a life saver! I had been suffering from debilitating and extremely painful sciatica for well over a year only to have that culminated in the need for a discectomy. Dr. Bhalla was gentle, kind, validating and easy to speak with, totally contrary to the stereotype of a narcissistic surgeon. The surgery was literally an instant cure to my pain, recovery was minimal. No complaints and I can't speak highly enough about my experience. I am so very grateful to Dr. Bhalla!

I first met Dr. Bhalla in September 2018 he did x-rays on me. Called me the next day at 9:30 in the morning and told me that I needed to be admitted into the hospital and I would be there for six weeks.I was in the most excruciating and unbearable pain that I have ever endured.He talked to me with respect and the way he carried himself, with such confidence.I really wasn’t even thinking about the procedure I was more concerned about the way my body would react to this whole ordeal. I had three operations on my back.Now I am in therapy with no back pain. When I see him these days he has this huge smile on his face, like I’m a walking miracle and he makes feel me so good. I think about how lucky I am to be here.Meeting him has change my whole life.

This is wonderful office. Everyone smiles when you come in. But most important is the quality of care. i have always felt that Dr. Millstein is an extremely skilled practitioner , attention to the patient's questions, and attempts to answer directly, snd honestly. My husband had knee replacement several year ago, and had some physical therapy to assist in the recovery, and the Physical Therapist said he could be a poster child fort this kind of surgery. A perfect job!!!! Very fine Doctor.

I saw Dr Bae several years ago for a cervical spine issue. I was very impressed with the way he and his staff took care of me, interviews and forms and examination. After interviewing other surgeons Dr Bae was head and shoulders above the pack in his "bed side manner" and his personal interest in my condition and how best to resolve it. I ended up having disc replacement and fusion surgery on two cervical discs. I could not have hoped for a better experience. Technically he is an outstanding surgeon, he took care of my issue flawlessly and was such an engaging and terrific person that when my aftercare was completed I felt as sense of loss at not needing to see the doctor again and his wonderful staff. I wholeheartedly and highly recommend Dr Bae to provide relief and care to resolve any spinal issues you might have.

Dr Eric Millstein has been my orthopedic doctor for about 5 years since I first saw him about my "shoulders" after Dr Frank Jobe passed away I have been derelict as I should have written a review long ago as he is not just a wonderful doctor he is extremely talented, very knowledgeable, patient, friendly, courteous, and so on and on. My retired nurse wife, who was Head Nurse in Pediatrics in two hospitals, told me long ago that the best of the best doctors are the ones with those traits and best of all are the doctors who help you make the decision. He is that kind of doctor! Dr Millstein is willing to spend as much time and provide as much information, etc, as you need to discuss your challenge, and come to a personal decision. He is recognized by other doctors as a Super Doctor, which is recognition by peers which recognition is only accorded to 5% of doctors. Well deserved. There is one other trait that we consider to be indicative of extreme doctor competence; that is the positive attitude and assistance of the office staff and their unsolicited voluntary comments as to their doctors and how they enjoy being employed at the office. Dr. Millstein gets numerous 100s! We apologize for taking so long as we have felt this way for many years so just one last comment; Dr Eric Millstein is a great doctor and great person! Bill Patton

I just want to say my experience with Dr. Bhalla has been nothing but positive. From the first time I met him I definitely felt his concern. I came in with pain to my lower back. After looking at my X-rays, he found that I had no cartilage in my L4 and L5. This was causing numbness in my toes and tingling of my feet when I stood up and walked after sitting for awhile. He referred me to do physical therapy. This option I felt did not help. Then Dr. Bhalla suggested I get an epidural. During the procedure I felt Dr. Bhalla really wanted to help relieve the discomfort I was feeling. After receiving the epidural, it helped relieve some of the discomfort but I was still feeling pain. So I opted to get the surgery. Dr. Bhalla did a L4/5 and L5/S1 anterior lumbar interbody fusion with insertion of biomechanical cages, allograft, fluoroscopy L5 partial corpectomy. Stage 2 L4-S1 posterior spinal percutaneous instrumented fusion. This procedure pretty much relieved all pain and numbness. I'm still recovering but I am back to exercising. Dr. Bhalla is an awesome doctor. I definitely would recommend him to anyone who is having back issues. Thank you Dr. Bhalla for curing my back and giving me my active lifestyle back!!
