As eas previously the case at Commons, I was treated courteously at the desk and seen promptly. The support staff were kind, careful and efficient. I was impressed at the painless, invisible blood draw. Everything was explained as we went and my options were outlined. So : really really good and I hope I never have to go back!

I went in with a lot of right knee pain as a result of a fall on a hike. I had had an MRI but was scared and worried damage had been done. Dr Millstein appeared and went over results, fluid around the area from trauma. Gave me 2 injections and said it would take 4 months to heal. Nothing was torn nor broken. This was a relief. He was calming and professional, said he had experienced a similar injury, and assured me it will heal And pain will lessen. It is getting better. Thank goodness for modern medicine and Dr Millstein!

Dr. Bhalla is an excellent spinal surgeon and he has an excellent staff. The staff got me in earlier than my original appointment because I was in a great deal of pain. The surgery coordinator did an excellent job of facilitating the process leading up to the procedure. Dr. Bhalla has been excellent from start to finish, taking the time to carefully listen and explain my situation to me and answer questions. There was a great deal of follow-up post surgery. The entire atmosphere of the office and Dr Bhalla 's. very professional demeanor created an environment in which I had complete trust and confidence in him as a person, in his professional abilities, and in his office staff. Dr. Millstein and his team were wonderful during my son’s recent laterjet shoulder surgery. Big should out to his anesthesiologist who was also amazing and so kind. This was my son’s second shoulder surgery in 2 years and after a lot of research and recommendations we went with Dr. Millstein and we are so glad we did! He was kind, professional and took his time explaining the procedure in detail and all the recovery steps. He is a surgical “artist”’ both technically and aesthetically. He is conservative in his diagnostic approach and careful to recommend all PT efforts be taken before resorting to surgery. I trust Dr. Bae as I have been through 2 surgeries and several consultations over the past 10 years.

Dr. Khurana is a wizard! I was diagnosed with pretty bad spondylolisthesis and degenerative disc disease at L4/L5. My pain crept up on me quickly and would stop me in my tracks. Epidurals were no longer putting a patch on things and my pain doctor told me it was time to start shopping for a surgeon. Dr. Khurana was the first of 3 I met with and set my standard. He reviewed my imaging with me, told me what the problem was and gave me options: no treatment and what that would mean for me, a discectomy and what I could expect and for how long, and the XLIF. As a patient I don’t see the sense in delaying the inevitable for a less predictable outcome by doddling, but I really appreciated the option of doing nothing so I could understand the broad range of what I could choose to do. I met with 2 other surgeons after this and neither of them spoke as concisely or with the respect to help me make an informed decision based on their skill set and experience as Dr. Khurana. So I scheduled the XLIF with him, and the surgical center experience and recovery were far and away better than I could’ve imagined (and I’ve had more than my fair share of surgeries to compare). From my very first step after the surgery I was able to stand upright (no longer guarded from avoidant pain), 100% of my pain was gone, and I could walk without assistance as I expected from what you hear from other people who have a fusion. From my second day home I was back on my treadmill walking multiple times a day and I never took the pain pills because I didn’t need them. His minimally invasive technique meant less muscle trauma and an easier recovery; and the XLIF removed the damaged disc, restored my alignment and the ideal intervertebral space. I’m now 18mm taller…I can’t stop winning!! Dr. Khurana was out of network with my benefits so obviously I paid more out of pocket for all of this. However when I consider how well he did and how my outcome & recovery far exceeded my expectations, my lens sees what I paid as fair. I value what Dr. Khurana has done for me from his personal TLC, the removal of all of my pain which has lifted the emotional weight I was carrying trying to mask the pain, and making my recovery enviable to others who used another surgeon. I will forever be grateful for his contribution to improving my quality of life 🙏🏽

I went to see Dr. Khurana to talk about the low back pain I’d been having but while I was there he wanted to get x-rays on the two cervical disc replacements I’d had done 3 years ago. He found that one of them was failing. He got me in within a few days, removed the replacement and fused that level, feels great now but could have been bad news had he not been on top of things and ordered the x-rays. His attention to detail is second to none and his team and staff are always incredible!! There is no one I would trust more with my spine!!
