I am so happy that my doctor referred me to Dr. Ramkumar for my meniscus repair surgery. I was in shock when I had found out that I completely tour it and honestly was scared but after my first meeting with Dr. Ramkumar I knew I was in good hands. He kept it straight with me told me what it mean and also educated me on what he will do and why that would be more beneficial for me because of my age. I also really appreciated that he was direct about it like this is what’s it’s going to be like and until my surgery he aid I could still do everything I have been doing. Of course once I had surgery I needed to cut back a little but he was amazing and I honestly wish he did other surgeries so I would have someone to go to if I ever needed it. My scars are pretty much gone it was two openings very small on the sides and he did amazing. Thank you for everything and thank you for making me first surgery smooth.

Was impressed firstly by the number of X-rays that were taken by the very efficient technician and then, the amount of detail the doctor had to work with. Her reasoned Interpretation of all images resulted in a very clear path to treatment for my pain concerns. Lastly, the cortisone shot she gave me in the knee was so unexpectedly successful, I woke up the next morning with no perceptible pain in that area. Now, I wish I had been offered same shot in both shoulders before starting physical therapy this week. All in all. a most throughly positive treatment with immediate positive results.

I was having a difficult time walking, and surgery was my last option to try and give me quality of life. My current doctor suggested a hip replacement and referred Dr. Ramkumar, a specialist in total hip replacement. I was greeted with a smile, a handshake, and encouraging words to find the best option for my situation. He suggested the anterior total hip arthroplasty surgery assisted with MAKO, a robotic arm. His knowledge of the lastest technology and providing a detail explanation of the procedure could give a shorter time of recovery, was the best option. His meticulous guide was easy to follow from pre-op through post-op and helped me with a positive outcome. I was walking the next day, no limping, not in pain and a smooth moving hip! Two years ago, I had a partial knee replacement by Dr. Ramkumar. Prior to the surgery I was seen at both of his offices in Long Beach and Lakewood for the initial consultations, x-rays, surgery preparation, etc. His office staff were professional and friendly. The day of the surgery, I was scheduled to arrive at 5AM, may be earlier, I was a little intimidated by the looks of the surgery building (had never been to à “surgery building”, I mean the building is nice but it’s specifically dedicated to surgeries-meat chopping room 😳). My amazing doctor comes in and immediately makes me feel comfortable. He is young, BUT he is skilled, experienced and he is the best at what he does. I have heard horrible stories about knee replacements, but after my own surgery I highly recomend that you get yourself out of misery and get your knee replacement done. And if you choose Dr Ramkumar you will not be disappointed.

From the time of making the appointment for Dr Estes, I was treated with respect and kindness. This is something that I’ve noticed is missing in healthcare. At my arrival I needed a wheelchair, and that ask was accommodated. Reception was especially friendly helping me get checked in. Dr Estes is exceptional and her exam was thorough, explained things to me in plain English and she was compassionate. The xray tech and nurse were kind and seemed to genuinely care. They were not just “doing a job” - they enjoyed being helpful. This isn’t what I’ve been experiencing lately within the medical network and was a welcome change for me during a very hard time.

Turned out I did not need surgery, wearing a boot and slowing moving into an ankle brace would do the trick.
