It's a Monday and during Covid19, so it was a bit busy in the office. I was in denial of the seriousness of my hip pain. He was highly recommended by a friend. During my initial visit Dr. Garabekyan spent time explaining what was causing my hip pain and provided clarification of treatment options. We both knew that this would be a surgical case. He was patient enough with me to work on my schedule and not push surgery until I had time off from work. Now to Zohra, she is amazing! Had multiple issues with my insurance company approving imaging and the actual surgery, but she worked thoroughly to get everything approved in time. > > I am now almost two-months post-op and OMG wish I had heard of Dr. Garabekyan years ago. I no longer have pain in my hip! He's a godsend!!! Millstein, MD > Dr. Lee showed great thoughtfulness and respect. I broke my toe right before Christmas. He took the time to discuss my options and answer questions. Said he'd typically tape the broken toe to the next toe to help immobilize and align as it heals, but mine was in the 5% that are bad enough to recommend surgery to pin it. I try to avoid surgery when I can and he offered me that option with the fallback of reconstruction later on, if needed. We discussed the pro's and con's and I chose to skip surgery at that time. I kept the wrap on consistently and limited physical activity the next month and my toe was able to heal in alignment as hoped. I'm two months out now and it's healing even better than expected. Really grateful for such a kind and dignifying doctor. A. All the nurses and staff were very friendly and helpful. Everyone in the staff is very easy to work with. Dr. Lee explained our options and did a great job of explaining the pros and cons. His bedside manner is excellent and he is a great listener as well. I elected to have surgery and he explained the process. They put me in a boot until it was time for surgery and the staff was very helpful in getting us a handicap sticker. I was amazed when I took off my cast off and I saw the scar. It looked great. I was able to attend physical therapy in the same building and Dr. Lee's office was with me every step of the way. When COVID-19 happened and the office was closed Dr. Lee even called me to check in on my progress. > > My wife broke her ankle a few years ago and still has hardware in her leg that sometimes gets aggravated. We are planning to go back to Dr. Lee's office to have it removed. > > All in all Dr. Lee is the best surgeon I have ever met. He is very skilled at his craft and great with people. I’d done physical therapy with out improvement, and he evaluated my MRI and x-rays with a expert’s eye. > > My critical issues were degenerative spondylolisthesis and stenosis that together had come to make walking more than a couple hundred feet difficult with dangerous potential for a bad fall. > > Dr. Khurana explained his surgical approach and I knew I’d found the right surgeon. As he explained, he’s a spine specialist; that’s “all” he does. He uses a minimally invasive approach that makes the surgery much less traumatic for his patients (but probably more technically challenging for the surgeon). I’d been scared of front and back access approaches I’d read about that involved extensive dissection, so I was greatly relieved. > > In my case, I had minimal post-operative pain, (just used cold packs a few times) and one week post-op I’m walking well (with a walker for safety for a few more days) and a back brace to remind me not to Bend, Lift or Twist. > > I’m very happy with results so far! > > I’m very happy with the results so far. After seeing several outstanding back surgeons across the country, I chose Dr. Bae for my decompression back surgery after he explained in detail all of my options. On my first appointment I was using a walker and in severe pain...for over 6 months. I was nervous to have back surgery but he gave me confidence it would all be successful...and it was! The day after surgery I was walking normally and pain free. Its now been three months and trusting Dr. Bae was the best decision I've ever made. This 70yr old grandma now feels like she's 40 again.
