> Awesome experience and result. Millstein is the king, was recommended to him by good friend and my son who is an insurance defense lawyer who uses this office as their experts.
> Couldn't be happier, physical therapist told me I have the most range of motion the quickest he's ever seen. Hopefully back to playing golf after 3 months. If you go to anyone else, you're braindead!

> I have been Dr. Bhalla's patient since 2019 when he performed spine surgery at Memorial Hospital. Dr. Bhalla was very thorough with testing, physical therapy and consultations before my surgery which was a success. I highly recommend Dr. Bhalla. The Staff also very kind and caring.

> I would highly recommend Dr. Bhalla for any concerns relating to back pain or injury. I had been having pain for several months that physical therapy could not relieve and that it seemed could not be diagnosed. Dr. Bhalla was able to diagnose the issues and perform a successful surgery that removed a cyst and alleviated pain from vertebrae. Additionally, his interaction with patients and family members is exemplary; he is patient with questions, compassionate, and takes the time to explain and understand patient concerns.

> He gave me all the information I needed to make the decision to get surgery. He was always available to talk to if I had any questions and his assistant was extremely accommodating. I ended up going with Dr. Millstein for many reasons for my shoulder surgery, but he was also recommended to me by my physical therapist and my other primary doctor. He is great.

> I highly Dr. Garabekyan and the staff that work there -- it is a welcoming environment and the office building is in a convenient, nice location. I had been having hip pain for about a year from a workout injury before I decided to go in. We did x-rays and I also ended up doing an MRI to get a closer, more detailed look at what's going on with my hip (it's a labral tear) and Dr. Garabekyan was able to describe to me exactly what's going on. I'm going to try doing physical therapy with someone he recommended and see if that helps fix the issue (fingers crossed). Otherwise, if a procedure is absolutely necessary I will be visiting again.

> Wen't into Dr. Lee's office a few days after I had torn my Achilles Tendon. All the nurses and staff were very friendly and helpful. Everyone in the staff is very easy to work with. Dr. Lee explained our options and did a great job of explaining the pros and cons. His bedside manner is excellent and he is a great listener as well. I elected to have surgery and he explained the process. They put me in a boot until it was time for surgery and the staff was very helpful in getting us a handicap sticker. I was amazed when I took off my cast off and I saw the scar. It looked great. I was able to attend physical therapy in the same building and Dr. Lee's office was with me every step of the way. When COVID-19 happened and the office was closed Dr. Lee even called me to check in on my progress.
>
> My wife broke her ankle a few years ago and still has hardware in her leg that sometimes gets aggravated. We are planning to go back to Dr. Lee's office to have it removed.
>
> All in all Dr. Lee is the best surgeon I have ever met. He is very skilled at his craft and great with people. I would give him a 10/10 and highly recommend him to anyone who needs help!
>
> Thanks Dr. Lee!

> Dr. Khurana communicated very well and laid out surgical treatment option. I’d done physical therapy with out improvement, and he evaluated my MRI and x-rays with a expert’s eye.
>
> My critical issues were degenerative spondylolisthesis and stenosis that together had come to make walking more than a couple hundred feet difficult with dangerous potential for a bad fall.
>
> Dr. Khurana explained his surgical approach and I knew I’d found the right surgeon. As he explained, he’s a spine specialist; that’s “all” he does. He uses a minimally invasive approach that makes the surgery much less traumatic for his patients (but probably more technically challenging for the surgeon). I’d been scared of front and back access approaches I’d read about that involved extensive dissection, so I was greatly relieved.
>
> In my case, I had minimal post-operative pain, (just used cold packs a few times) and one week post-op I’m walking well (with a walker for safety for a few more days) and a back brace to remind me not to Bend, Lift or Twist.
>
> I’m very happy with results so far!

> Hello to my fellow back pain sufferers. At 60 I have had all types of joint pain over the years, knee operations, rotator cuff tears etc, but nothing is worse than back pain which I felt severely limited my quality of life. After 5 years of severe back pain, acupuncture treatments, chiroprator visits, physical therapy and stretching exercizes, and 4 spine specialists (2 told me I needed back surgery, 2 told me surgery could make my back worse!) I finally came to know Dr. Khurana through a friend my age with simimar back issues who sang his praises. Long story short, Dr. Khurana is something of a miracle worker if you ask me. Had my surgery 8 months ago and after a few weeks of post surgery discomfort my back has been virtually pain free. No more frantically looking around for a chair when in a conversation, now I walk the Topanga hills of the SM mountains for exercize, no problem. Back pain is no joke, if you tried and tried to do things to alleviate the pain but nothing is really working...do yourself a favor and go see Dr. Khurana. If you elect to have surgery, ask to go to Docs hospital by San Vicente and Fairfax, a doctor owned facility which is a far sight better than one of those huge hospitals.

> I hold Dr. Garabekyan in the highest regard possible. In the last four months, he performed two surgeries on me: a hip replacement surgery on my right side, and arthroscopic surgery of my right knee. I've thus been through something of an ordeal: pre-surgery, surgery, post-op, in-home physical therapy, outpatient PT. Through it all, Dr. Garabekyan was a consummate professional, the best of the best, a veritable magician with the scalpel: minimizing scars and getting me back on my feet post haste. I now walk pain-free and glitch-free. Every time I walk, I am consciously grateful for the very fact that I'm walking. My gratitude extends gushingly to Dr. Garabekyan and his staff. He took the time to answer patiently my every question, and he allayed my qualms about the procedures, and his keen judgment gave me the confidence to go forward. I made the decision to drive all the way from the western-most part of LA Country to his office in Beverly Hill, even though LA traffic can back up and make like miserable. But it was worth it. I feel I had the best medical care in all of Los Angeles. Dr. Garabekyan spent as much time explaining things as needed, and his bedside manner exudes and inspires confidence. His follow-up care was superb. In a minute, I'd pick him to perform surgery on one of my joints gone bad. He's business-like but also affable and warm. I would recommend him to anyone on a dime!

> I've had to have a number of arthritis related surgeries over the years and fortunately they have all been successful. With these experiences
> one gets feel for the doctor in a number of ways. Some surgeons are more than happy to do surgery and others are much more conservative wanting to explore physical therapy and other options to avoid surgery.
>
> Dr. Millstein is conservative and someone I highly recommend.

> This is wonderful office. Everyone smiles when you come in. But most important is the quality of care. i have always felt that Dr. Millstein is an extremely skilled practitioner , attention to the patient's questions, and attempts to answer directly, snd honestly. My husband had knee replacement several year ago, and had some physical therapy to assist in the recovery, and the Physical Therapist said he could be a poster child fort this kind of surgery. A perfect job!!!! Very fine Doctor.

> I just want to say my experience with Dr. Bhalla has been nothing but positive. From the first time I met him I definitely felt his concern. I came in with pain to my lower back. After looking at my X-rays, he found that I had no cartilage in my L4 and L5. This was causing numbness in my toes and tingling of my feet when I stood up and walked after sitting for awhile. He referred me to do physical therapy. This option I felt did not help. Then Dr. Bhalla suggested I get an epidural. During the procedure I felt Dr. Bhalla really wanted to help relieve the discomfort I was feeling. After receiving the epidural, it helped relieve some of the discomfort but I was still feeling pain. So I opted to get the surgery. Dr. Bhalla did a L4/5 and L5/S1 anterior lumbar interbody fusion with insertion of biomechanical cages, allograft, fluoroscopy L5 partial corpectomy. Stage 2 L4-S1 posterior spinal percutaneous instrumented fusion. This procedure pretty much relieved all pain and numbness. I'm still recovering but I am back to exercising. Dr. Bhalla is an awesome doctor. I definitely would recommend him to anyone who is having back issues. Thank you Dr. Bhalla for curing my back and giving me my active lifestyle back!!

> Dr. Bhalla is a wonderful specialist! For over five months, I had been dealing with almost constant pain from a bulging disc. My primary physician tried oral steroids . . .sent me for weeks of physical therapy. . .and I worked out responsibly on my own. After no lasting improvement, my primary physician referred me to Dr. Bhalla, claiming that he was the best spinal specialist in Long Beach. I met with him and immediately like him. . . very friendly manner, easy going, caring, compassionate, an expert who provided clear, simple suggestions. First, we went the epidural route. I experienced about 10 days of relief then after holiday travel (cross country), some long car rides, and over-extending myself through exercise, I was down again. . .more pain than ever. As the last resort, Dr. Bhalla performed a lumbar discectomy on Jan. 8. He explained everything in a reassuring manner, of course, not guaranteeing optimal results. However, he was positive that I would experience relief, stating that he had very good success rates. In short, after the operation, I had no more pain in my butt and left leg. (My bulging disc had been pinching the nerves going down my left rear end and leg.) I still have some numbness in my feet and toes, but I expect this to improve. Certainly, I was very well prepared for this surgery after going through over five months of alternative treatment. Plus, I am in very good shape for a 63-year-old man. However, Dr. Bhalla's positive, confident, caring attitude helped greatly! I would highly recommend him. . .the best ever!

> e suffered from sciatica pain for about 10 years with multiple visits to urgent care, steroid and pain medicine injections, and physical therapy. I've been able to manage to pain but was always aware that sooner or later surgery will be necessary. About 3 weeks ago the sciatica pain got so unbearable I couldn't stand up on my feet. This time pain medicine and steroids were not relieving my pain and I had to go to the emergency room. Next day my family doctor recommended that I should be seen by Orthopedic Surgeon and she sent me to Dr. Bhalla for treatment. Lucky the HMO authorization was expedited and approved next day. I called to schedule my appointment and explained the urgency and my pain. I was scheduled for a visit the same day! Upon my arrival, I was warmly greeted by the front desk staff and given the paperwork to fill out. I was taken for X-rays and exam a few minutes later.
> Dr. Bhalla reviewed the x rays and my medical history and explained that the surgery is my best option at this point and that we can schedule the surgery for Monday ( I was seen on Friday). He also explained that it's a microscopic surgery to remove a portion of the disk that is causing the pressure on your nerve root and minimal recovery time.
> It was 4:30 on a Friday and Dr. Bhalla's staff immediately got to work getting the insurance approvals and scheduling my surgery.
> After my visit, Dr. Bhalla send me a text message regarding the surgery details and let me know that I can text him if I have any questions!!! I did send him a text on a Saturday with some concerns prior to my surgery and he texted me back answering my questions!
> He visited me during surgery preparation to answer any questions or concerns and right after to let me know everything went well.
> I went from morphine in my IV at the hospital prior to the surgery to Tylenol after and was up on my feet walking the same day! I went home the next day pain-free!

> This review is 1 year and a month post S1-L5 and L5-L4 microdiscectomy.
>
> After an injury at an obstacle course race that was completely my fault, load over capacity on a heavy lift, I had lumbar pain that eventually became a sciatic pain that was most felt in my left calf.
>
> I started Physical Therapy to resolve the issue, but in my case and situation, it was not resolving the issue the way we wanted it. The pain kept coming back immediately when walking, even after performing exercises that would relieve it. My PT recommended a few surgeons to talk to, and after looking at DISC I chose to go see Dr. Khurana. I figured if DISC gets Red Bull athletes back to performing, I would be in capable hands.
>
> Another reason I chose Dr. Khurana was that he understood why I had the injury and what I needed to do to get past it. There was no "oh you must have surgery" or "we can do surgery but never flip that 400lbs tire again". Upon initial consultation and look at my MRI, we both agreed to continue PT for a few more weeks to make sure that PT was not progressing for "me" and what I wanted to continue doing. As another reviewer stated, these things are not one size fits all. Make sure your PT, surgeon AND YOU are in line with your life goals. I felt that Dr. Khurana, and the entire DISC staff, cared about my situation and wanted to get me back to where I wanted to be.
>
> I wanted to race again that year, wanted to carry 70lbs buckets uphill, wanted to trail run for 30+ miles, wanted to crawl under barbwire, wanted to blah blah blah. Dr. Khurana understood where I wanted to be as an athlete and where I was before the injury and I felt his consultation kept all this in mind.
>
> I elected to have the surgery performed, and everything was super smooth. In on a Friday morning, out that evening and I was back to work on Monday. I was back to racing again in just over six months (Tahoe Ultra Beast, aroo!). My case is not all cases, as I had done a ton of work during the previous years that would have been considered pre-hab.
>
> The surgery experience was excellent. Everyone was very caring and explained everything to me in as much detail as I wanted. I would do it again if I "had" to. I was never second-guessing the decision.
>
> All of the post-op appointments were the same caliber. Dr. Khurana explained what I may experience in the next year or two as I started training again, so while sometimes I am alarmed thinking "uh...should I be feeling this now?" between Dr. Khurana and my PT I am guided in the right direction. He cared about how I was progressing and how I was getting back to my pursites.
>
> Shout out to Devin Blessing at Evolution Physical Therapy. They are just around the way from DISC in Playa Vista and are an excellent place to follow up your surgery at.

> Dr. Estess is a great doctor. I came to her complaining of ongoing lower back pain and she provided me with a few options. One of which was to get an MRI just to be safe, so I decided to go with that. Turns out, I have two herniated discs in my back! No idea how! Again, she went over a few options with me and I'll be starting physical therapy soon to see if it helps. I'd recommend her to anyone. I felt very comfortable the entire time and I felt like she really listened to me :)

> Dr Wassef is an incredibly skilled surgeon who treats his patients like good friends. In less than 5 weeks after my hip replacement, I was back on the dance floor. My physical therapist was so impressed with my recovery that he released me after 12 sessions of therapy. If you’re considering hip, knee, or shoulder surgery, definitely get an opinion from Dr Wassef.

> Dr. Bhalla is an excellent physician and helped me immensely. I had shooting pain down my leg and my health department doctor either thought I was faking or didn't know what was wrong. I went to see Dr. Bhalla and before even looking at my x-rays or MRI's, he immediately said it was a bulging disc. Physical therapy wasn't an option because it was a bad case, but Dr. Bhalla told me what to expect before the surgery, during the surgery, and after it. He was genuinely concerned with how I was doing and looked very happy after I was healed. Long story short, if you need to see an orthopedic doctor, I would request to be seen by Dr. Bhalla. Excellent doctor!

> In February, I had a bad fall and was in agony. My primary caregiver at Cedars said that all of the surgeons at the Spine Center were highly competent but her recommendation would be that I see Dr. Bae because of his personal attention to each patient and caring manner. I am so grateful for the recommendation because after two lumbar spinal fractures (one burst) I was in excruciating pain but was hesitant to undergo surgery. I actually had no choice in the matter because, in addition to the horrendous pain, my spine was left unstable after the fall. Upon awakening from a three-hour surgery by Dr. Bae, I was instantly relieved of 90% my pain. I am now pain free at the six-week mark post-surgery and have been approved by Dr. Bae for outpatient physical therapy. I couldn't be happier with the results and cannot praise Dr. Bae and his entire team enough!!!
