Dr. Ramkumar has been an amazing doctor and surgeon throughout my interactions with him. I had been in pain for years and Dr. Ramkumar was able to quickly diagnose, provide an intermittent treatment plan, and a surgery plan. A few weeks after surgery and the pain that I thought I’d have for the rest of my life is gone and I’m riding my bike hundreds of miles a week. I cannot recommend him enough!

I recently underwent A2M injections in both knees after years of struggling with severe pain caused by torn menisci, sprained MCLs, and osteoarthritis in both knees. The procedure was seamless, and I received two injections in each knee. I drove from San Diego to be under his care and expertise with the A2M procedure. Even though it has only been one week since the treatment, I am already noticing significant improvements. I can now walk up and down the stairs normally, as opposed to the one-two step pattern I had to rely on before. This is a huge improvement in my mobility and a major reduction in pain. Dr Sanjay Khurana is the number one spine surgeon on the West Coast and top five in the country. If not the best he’s done two neck and two back surgeries on me and my experience at his facilities at the Commons was nothing short of a miracle. I was referred there by my friend Dr Gary Brazina i’ve had 100% recovery and have a new body to continue doing my extreme sports photos. Attached the efficiency of his office staff is incredible. I was terrified to have the surgeries done and now I would recommend him to anyone because he will fix your problems and take your pain away. incredible experience all the way around. After my first surgery, I was at a Laker game overall the results have been nothing short of a miracle. The facilities at the Commons are nicer than most five star hotels and his surgical team was incredible. The follow up is even better. If you’ve been waiting because you’re afraid of having your spine worked on, don’t wait any longer. This has been life-changing for me. The bulk of my injuries have been with me since my 20s from the athletics of the car. Accident didn’t help these injuries obtained through a life of incredible sports and I feel blessed to be able to continue although have retired from the pro water ski jumping, but we’ll still be doing the extreme snow skiing along with all my other sports paddle boarding ultimate frisbee pickle ball. The list goes on and on when I went into Dr Khurana’s Office I couldn’t walk unassisted.

Due to an accident a few years back in 2022, I developed cervical and lumbar pain. This pain has disrupted my life, caused depression, anxiety, negated the quality of my life, where I’ve become withdrawn from participating in life, having lost my confidence and failing in getting daily accomplishments completed. A week ago, my lumbar pain was a 16, (on a scale of 1 to 10). Because of the accident, I need surgery on cervical and lumbar regions. I opted to have the cervical surgery first. However, the thought of having this surgery did not give me any peace of mind. With time my lumbar spine pain greatly increased in severity, affecting my daily life and ability to sleep for 8 hours a night; (the pain would wake me up several times a night). Last week I had the first of two surgeries by Dr. Vokshoor; with Dr. Kamrava performing a lumbar epidural. The epidural results have been absolutely and instantaneously amazing. I hadn’t known about Dr. Kamrava’s successful work; and had anxiety and negative thoughts about the procedure. However, I did know enough to listen Dr. Vokshoor’s advice in having his trusted colleague, Dr. Kamrava perform the lumbar epidural. Post-surgery, it’s been 1-1/2 weeks and I have not experienced any lumbar pain. Personally, being pain free in my lumbar region is a miracle and I should’ve had this procedure over a year ago, but fear had held me back. (When experiencing severe pain, one becomes fearful and of the following mindset: if something happens during the epidural, (or surgery), then my pain will only become worse - … and I can barely take it like it is….’). Long-term pain is accompanied by any or all of the following: depression, anxiety and fear, loss of hope, anger etc., and more. I hope I have chosen my words properly, in communicating just how grateful I am to Dr. Kamrava, (as well as to Dr. Vokshoor). The quality of my life is changing. I have a lumbar surgery with Dr. Vokshoor on the horizon; and I can see hope and light at the end of the journey of surgeries. I will be able to move forward being structurally sound, say goodbye to chronic pain and with the precious time I have on earth; take my goals off of the top shelf and focus on them again. Dr. Kamrava will be my pain management guru and help me to the goal of living a pain and medication free life. Dr. Millstein has been my husband, brother, nephew and many friends' go to doctor with all their shoulder and knee issues. Having recently been dealing with shoulder pain I opted to see him for some feedback. Everyone had told me what a great doctor he is but getting to meet him and seeing his bedside manner firsthand made me wholeheartedly agree with them. Dr. Millstein took his time to go over my images and reports and thankfully told me that all I need is Physical Therapy (not surgery) to get better. He was very forthright, knowledgeable and welcoming and encouraged me that I can always reach out to him personally should I have any questions or concerns. Dr. Millstein really cares about his patients. It is evident from the second you meet him that he really is there to help you and not push for surgery unless it's needed. Of course, it is best not to need a pain management doctor, but if you do Dr. Kamrava is your best choice. He is skilled at giving pain injections such as spinal epidurals. Just after having an MRI, Dr. Khurana took the time and go through what was going on and how to treat my condition in a very clear and understandable way. This was the third doctor I went to as the other two made no scene. I was fortunate to only have a minor situation, but it caused me a great deal of pain in my left leg to the point where sometimes I could not walk. Dr. Khurana and his team took care of this in an out-patient process that gave me immediate relief. The micro-surgery process healed in three days without any discomfort. I have severe sciatica and have been to a chiropractor and had physical therapy, yet no improvement. My GP ordered an MRI and suggested I see Dr. Bhalla. I'm glad I did. He took the time to make sure I really understood the reason for all the pain. He showed me on the MRI that I have spinal stenosis and a synovial cyst at L4/5 pushing against the nerves. I'm going with corrective surgery, that much to my surprise is outpatient. The office staff is excellent and scheduling the surgery was a breeze. I feel very comfortable with my choice, and am confident I'm in good hands.
