Without question the most capable, professional and caring neurosurgeon a patient could ever hope for. I had my first surgery with him, a cervical fusion, in 2005, followed by a second one, a lumbar fusion in 2010. Going from truly unbearable pain which in both cases went on for months, following my procedures I woke up nearly 100% cured; an absolute miracle of relief. It's been 13 years since my last surgery, and my congenital issues have again reared their ugly heads. I flew from Portland, Maine last week to see him and was once again comforted entirely by his extraordinary kindness and understanding, his bedside manner exceptional as always, and I'm planning my next fusion one level up. Beginning with his office staff, Nancy And everyone else with whom I've had the pleasure of dealing, Dr. Khurana's practice practice is second to none. I literally trust him (and his exceptional office support ) with my life. Make an appointment and be prepared to wait a bit sometimes, but be confident in knowing that when it's your turn he will give you all the time in the world. There could truly be no more outstanding, talented, informative, personable surgeon, and I feel so fortunate to have found him. 💙
Sanjay Khurana, MD
Exceptional, compassionate care! Dr. Khurana is a patient, kind, wildly competent surgeon. He instills confidence. Many great surgeons lack bedside manner. Dr. Khurana delivers in all aspects. 10 days after 3 cervical spine disc replacements, virtually all of my major pain symptoms associated with severe foramimal stenosis are gone. I will be forever grateful to him and his crew. The staff in the surgical center were also truly outstanding. I’ve been told I can be a “tough customer.” I can tell you Dr. Khurana and company far exceeded all my expectations-which were high to begin with! May all the good Dr. Khurana and staff do come back to them in abundance…

After numerous epidurals and PT I came to the realization that my only remaining option to resolve my back pain was to consult a spine surgeon. After extensive research and review, Dr. Hyun Bae jumped to the top of my list. What a great find! Dr. Bae was warm, friendly, down to earth and exuded a tremendous amount of confidence. After reviewing my MRI he indicated that he could help me, but it would involve surgery. No problem, as that was what I expected. He explained what he would do while pointing that out on my MRI. He used the words, 'easy peasy" to describe what needed to be done. Easy for him to say, but in reality it was a minimally invasive procedure. I felt totally comfortable with him. I might add that every person whom I can in contact with at Cedars-Sinai or the Spine Institute was extremely friendly, helpful and professional. I cannot recommend Dr. Bae highly enough. Thank you, Dr. Bae.

Taking a moment to say "Thanks so much" to Dr Eric Millstein and staff for getting me in for a same-day appt!!!! Dr Millstein is a really great doctor... I'm not in pain this morning
Eric S. Millstein, MD
Took his time to explain all the possibilities I could take to help with my pain.

Dr. Milstein is very kind, a good listener, and gave me a good plan to help resolve my pain. I am very glad I found a great orthopedic doctor

Dr. Khurana made a big impression on both of us. I am suffering from serious lower back pain, and the doctor found a less invasive way of fixing my spine. He also noticed that there is an area he can fix from a previous surgery. I am eager to use him for my surgery as I have heard nothing but rave reviews from my friends who have used him.

This doctor is a gifted medical magician. I suffered for years with neck pain from a pinched nerve. I couldn't even turn to back up in my car. Rather than neck surgery he did a nerve ablation and all symptoms are gone for years now. He also does great epidural injections for stenosis. Great bedside manner. Assistant Nora is hard working and responsive. What more could you ask for?

I was operated by Dr. Khurana 4 years ago for a problem of pain in the lower back associated with siatica and I thank him deeply, he has changed my daily life. I recommend this practitioner who is of special value because of his ability to listen, his incredible operative skill and his very human approach. His team listens and assists him with great professionalism.

Dr Khurana is extremely knowledgeable in his field and treats his patience with care. He’s very personable and friendly and keeps the needs of his patients at the forefront. He performed a back procedure on me a few years back relieving me of pain and discomfort, witch, allowed me to do the activities I love. I would highly recommend Dr.Khurana should you be experiencing any back or spine problems.

Dr Bhalla is very thorough and has provided me relief from back pain. He has an experienced staff that make his office a step ahead of others in providing solutions that resolve pain and discomfort. You can’t go wrong seeking his care!!!
Amandeep Bhalla, MD
Dr. Bhalla takes a conservative approach which I appreciate. My case required surgery and he is very skilled. I was confident in my treatment plan and ability to become pain-free. Prior to surgery, my pain level was a 7 and sometimes 8. After recovery, I'm pain-free and back to biking, hiking, and enjoying life. I'm forever grateful.

Dr. Bhalla is terrific. He has done two spinal surgeries on me and they both went very well. I was in a lot of pain and discomfort and now I’m not. I’m back to doing everything I used to do.

Although I haven't seen Dr. Millstein yet and I'm literally just sitting in the waiting room, I had to share my experience thus far with this unbelievable office. Three days ago I fell and broke my wrists, collarbone and a rib. After a quick ER visit, I was told to find an orthopedic specialist to determine what to do next. I called every office around Venice and unfortunately was rejected by all of them because "we don't take new patients at the moment"... I explained that I'm in incredible pain but no luck. Until I called Dr. Eric Millstein's office! The reception ladies were the sweetest and understood my situation and made a true effort to get me in ASAP. Insurance, payments and other items were far from being a priority. I felt like they genuinely wanted to help. The intake form portal and X-ray uploading platform were very user-friendly and it took me less than 5 min to complete it all. They booked me an appointment a week out but kept on updating me on cancellations. A day later a Susie answered my call and was able to squeeze me in to see the Dr. (I can't even describe to you how sweet and helpful this woman is!!) Schevobnn checked me in with the outmost professionalism and I'm currently waiting for the Dr. Highly recommended

Dr Khurana has been my surgeon and follow doctor for me spine problems. He is never rushed when I visit and always explain the condition. I had surgery 3 1/2 years ago and have bee. Pleased with my back Today I see him 1 to 2 times as needed He carefully explains if I have some pain what causes it and his decision how to treat I have referred a few people to Dr Khurana and all have had very good results I highly recommend him for any spine issue you might have

Dr Millstein was a referral and a very good one .. Very smooth and professional from front desk to the good Dr Millstein. He requested further tests and I was appreciative that he was searching for the cause of my pain and scheduled further testing as the reasons were not obvious. 🤞

Dr. Khurana performed a successful sciatic surgery on me in Sept. of 2019. The surgery eliminated all and any pain almost immediately. It was so good, I did not need any follow up therapy. On June 1st, 2021 I had gotten out of my car, & after shutting the door I was hit by a car driven by a woman who was talking on the phone and crossed the parking dividing lines, striking me on the direct spot of my successful surgery. Since then I've been through therapy, and will most likely need another surgery. In my opinion Dr. Khurana is the best Spine Specialist in the Country, although I'm sure there are other excellent Surgeons. I highly recommend Dr. Khurana to anyone experiencing Orthopedic spinal problems. Respectfully M. Pappas

Dr Khurana has been very influential in my life and he is humble about it, that he probably doesn't realize that. I am a Spine and Sports Medicine physical therapist that has been helping people with debilitating spinal pain. I only bring that up because when I had back surgery, he demonstrated good bedside manner, compassion, expertise and most importantly, I've been able to perform at a high level... lifting weights and being active with three kids 15 years later. When I had to make the decision on who to do my spine surgery at age 28, (I am 42 now) I went and had consultations by the best. I was a spine specialist at that time and went to numerous conferences, so those were who I reached out to. I had second, third , and fourth opinions. Khurana was my fourth and he was the only one that showed compassionate care. Btw I had a disc that was sequestered (broke off). He taught me that being the best is not enough as a practitioner. It is important to also be compassionate and caring. To practice listening. We don't get taught this in school. I've referred my colleagues and patients to him and they come back with the same beautiful stories as you are reading. I hope Dr Khurana is reading this review and to know that he is truly a gem in this field. Wishing everyone who is reading this the best recovery. I know it's a scary place to be when you are in pain and deciding to have surgery or not, you don't know who to trust, and I hope this LONG over due review can help you.

After a year of PT for my left knee , I could not walk anymore . I was recommended to Dr. Milstein & he had to do surgery on my left knee , I walked out of the surgery center with no pain, and 5 years later I’m pain free on that knee. Today I had to see him for my right knee. He saw me on time, attentive to my questions and explained to me clearly , the choices I have to heal that knee. I would definitely recommend Dr. Milstein.

This is a follow up review regarding my surgery on C3-C4, artificial disc placed August, 2018. I am so grateful for Dr Bae and team for the excellent results. As a busy Dentist, I was back to work in two weeks with complete mobility and zero pain. Dr Bae is dedicated to providing the utmost in spinal surgery.
Hyun Bae, MD

I fell off of my Ladder at my mountain home. At the time I didn’t realize I had broken my spine…Not a lot of pain at first. I consulted with some doctors at the time, but they all said that after surgery I could experience some pain so I decided to wait and see how I would heal. As time went by my legs started bothering me. My Doctor friend referred me to the Surgeon Dr Bae. My doctor said Dr. Bae was the “best”. After consulting and research I was confident to have Dr. Bae do the surgery April 2022. The surgery went very well and there was little pain …Excellent work. I am very pleased with my total experience, including Cedars Sinai Hospital, UCLA Hospital . I agree with My Doctor friend…Dr. Bae is the best!

Would give this guy 100 stars if I could! Was referred by both one of my best friends and my son who is an insurance defense lawyer who uses both drs Kaye and Millstein as their ortho experts. Had rotator cuff surgery and was expecting the worst, given all of the people I talked to who had the same procedure done. Couldn't have been easier. Little pain and discomfort, but that should be expected why you get high quality care. Dr. Millstein was out of network but paid his fee in cash happily. I'm playing golf this weekend, 14 weeks post surgery. Dr. Millstein's CV is ridiculous, as are his doctor and surgical skills.
Eric S. Millstein, MD
Dr Khurana took his time to explain all my options and gave me the pros cons of each. I never felt rushed and I knew I would be at total ease with him since this would be my 2nd surgery with him. I fell recently and re-injured myself and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my spine. After the last surgery I had a 99% improvement I was no longer using a cane and was able to get off all my pain medication, if in doubt no worries you’re in good hands with Dr Khurana and the whole office is professional and friendly.
