Dr Estess was very thorough and professional. I would highly recommend her for anyone with knee/hip problems.
Allyson Estess, MD
Dr. Ramkumar is a one of a kind master of his craft. I can’t say enough good things about the man, but I hope my story sheds some light on his skill, character, & may help someone else who like I did, feels confused, afraid, & is unsure of the future before them. I met Dr. Ramkumar during the hardest time in my life, & yet trusting him as my surgeon has surpassed all expectations. I can honestly say his guidance and support have been the best experience I’ve had dealing with the US medical system in my entire life. I’m a 25 year old professional multi-discipline extreme sports athlete. (Cliff Jumping, Surfing, Snowboarding, Parkour, Freediving, etc.) This year, after over a decade of training, I suffered the worst injury of my career. I fully tore BOTH my ACLs (and a bit of meniscus). The tears happened 3 months apart & although I had an MRI, the first ACL tear had been missed by a previous physician which is what eventually led to the other knee getting injured in the same way. When I walked into Dr. Ramkumars office to get the second knee injury looked at he felt both of my knees by hand and without even seeing the MRI yet, told me he was confident I had torn both. After looking at my MRIs he immediately spotted the tears. He’s new, but he’s cutting edge, doing techniques that a lot of the older surgeons aren’t, because they’re more comfortable with the techniques they learned back in the day. He broke down my injury & the details of my recommended surgery in English instead of usual medical jargon, told me with confidence he could get me back to being an elite athlete again, & I’ll never forget what he said after suggesting the patellar tendon graph… “listen man this is the Ferrari of ACL replacement surgeries. I’m gonna fix you up” Since then Dr. Ramkumar has been attentive & invested in my successful recovery. Texting me with updates, checking in every week & giving me loads of advice. Since I’m one of the few Bi lateral ACL tear patients around, (meaning I tore both at the same time) he went the extra mile to consult colleagues in the east coast with more experience to make sure he had as much information as possible before recommending anything to me. I have felt confident in every choice he’s made, I’ve now done the first surgery, and am already a week ahead of my recovery timeline, 20 days post surgery I’m walking around semi-normal, 90° flexation, full extension/toe touching, and getting exponentially better each day. I have no doubt that in proper time & consistent PT I will be back to the level I was before any of this. I couldn’t recommend someone higher if you’re suffering from a hip or knee injury, especially if you’re an athlete where a full 100% recovery is vital to pursuing your passion & returning to what you love most in the world.

Dr. Ramkumar removed hardware in my knee from a previous surgery. He worked with my previous scar area so there is a less noticeable incision area. Dr. Ramkumar is easy to work with and answered all my questions. He and his staff are very responsive and helpful.

My dad just had knee surgery and Dr Ramkumar did an excellent job. Nurse was outstanding with giving us instructions before and after surgery. Dr Ramkumar contacted me after surgery to let me know operation went well. Thank you Dr Ramkumar!

Dr Millstein is a superstar! Fixed my fully torn rotator cuff 6 years ago and I'm doing yoga 5+ days a week. First choice for shoulder or knee problems.

I had a partial knee replacement surgery on 10/16/2023. My recovery is amazing. Today (2 and a half weeks post-op, I am able to do 100% weight bearing on my surgical leg. I had minimal bruising post-op and pain was manageable. Along the way, Dr. Ramkumar was there and easily accessible via text messages. He is extremely attentive to my needs. When he advised me to consider partial knee vs. Total knee, he explained the logic for his recommendation. I respected his opinion and I am vey happy with the outcome. He's extremely knowledgeable, very tech savvy and has excellent bedside manner. I am certain he will treat all his patients with love and grace. Thank you Dr. Prem Ramkumar!

Dr. Millstein is very caring, patient and knowledgeable. A true expert in his field. He explained in detail the source of my knee pain that was coming from my hip. He gave me an injection and delivered treatment options with clarity. I highly recommend him to anyone who suffers with knee, hip and back pain.

Dr. Millstein and his staff are amazing. They really understand how to treat a patient. I've had my knee replaced and am back on the Tennis Courts beating people half my age. Dr. Millstein did an amazing job. He starts with best non invasive approach to help including physical therapy and then suggest other treatments only as needed. If you need a cortisone injection Dr. Millstein is the best at hitting the ‘right spot.’ Everyone there is very organized, I’ve never waited long. I’m very happy with their treatment and would recommend them to anyone having Orthopedic issues and pain.

Dr. Andrew Wassef and his assistant Jason were a godsend. I had knee surgery in 2016. My 2023 knee surgery was so successful that my knee is better than it was before. My knee was in very bad shape with an infection, not from the initial knee replacement, but there were other complications, So, called Dr. Wassef the cleanup man, he did a wonderful job, restoring my knee, because he had a difficult task to save my knee/leg. and possibly my life. God Bless Dr Wassef and his staff.

The best knee doc there is with an incredible team of staff supporting him.

I have been a patient of Dr.Combs for years. He repaired my meniscus in my right knee around 2006, then I tore it again. He put symzisc1 in my knee it lasted about 7 years. Recently he put Durlane in my knee didn't help. The staff got me an MRI in a week and waiting to see what is next. Dr. Combs is a get listener and honest.

I wish it were more doctors and staff like them.

After a year of PT for my left knee , I could not walk anymore . I was recommended to Dr. Milstein & he had to do surgery on my left knee , I walked out of the surgery center with no pain, and 5 years later I’m pain free on that knee. Today I had to see him for my right knee. He saw me on time, attentive to my questions and explained to me clearly , the choices I have to heal that knee. I would definitely recommend Dr. Milstein.

This was my first experience with any doctor other than my GP. I had a ton of anxiety going in but Dr.Millstein was personable and patient as we discussed my issue and he assuaged any anxiety I had surrounding my visit and his recommendation going forward . He sat and listened patiently as I went through the list of questions I had and made sure I was satisfied with the answers before I left (I had convinced myself he was going to tell me I needed a knee replacement!!!). The experience was better than I even imagined it would be - and I get to keep my knee - lol.
Eric S. Millstein, MD
I had seen other Dr”s for my locked knee. There was never any mention of anything except PT. There was no follow up or discussion of what could be done down the line. Dr Millstein gave me options and hope

Dr. Millstein was very nice and easy going. He listened to the description of my knee and the activities I wanted to continue doing. After a quick x-ray and diagnosis I was given a cortisone shot and my knee feels amazing. I was worried about needing a second surgery but he said it is arthritic and does not require surgery at this time. I will make sure to see him if required in the future.

In early 2017 I slipped on some ice and suffered a stable fracture of the L1 vert. Once the trauma of the fall settled and I thought I could return to normal, I soon discovered I'd never see normal again. The fall changed EVERYTHING, as most traumatic injuries do. I was also suffering from a bad knee I believe was exacerbated by the fall. About a year and a half after the fall, I went to see Dr. Bae on the recommendation of my Dr. He took a look at my MRI and noted I had a bone spur hitting the nerve someplace below the L1 where the break was, something others had missed (bulging discs, not much to do about it). He assured me this was easy to fix and I'd be good as new. BACK SURGERY!!! AHHHHH!!!! I was terrified. He noted that while I had some disc degeneration, he felt my spine overall looked no worse than someone else's my age, or his even, which made me feel good--he's young. Anyway, in November 2018 I had surgery to fix the bone spur. I've had several surgeries in my life and I woke up sick and out of it every time. This time I woke up like I just had the best nap of my life. I was up and going to the bathroom shortly after I woke up and I was home a few hours later. The office follow-up was great, and I thank Lisa Cano for her kindness and thoroughness during a small rough patch about three weeks post surgery. I'd been feeling a little blah and I could tell I was retaining water throughout my body. I just felt...swollen. I got a massage, and while the masseuse was very careful around the incision, she moved things around, as massage will do. A few hours passed and as I got up from the couch to go to bed, my back was wet. Long story short, the incision opened up and was leaking fluid. I immediately called the office (around 9pm, so it was the exchange I got), and Lisa called back immediately, asked me to take a picture, then told me how to cover it, etc. and had me come in the following morning. Dr. Bae was extremely concerned, said he'd never seen this so far out post surgery. He was NOT dismissive or cavalier, which I appreciated. His concern actually made me calmer about it (we can address the psychology of that another time) He swabbed for infection, then dressed it and sent me home with dressings and orders to take pictures after every dressing change. Within a day or two he called and said he wanted to go back in and surgically put a drain in. I finished a round of antibiotics he normally gives post surgery, and he put me on a second round. I was very against going under again, and within a few days the incision began tunneling. It was clear I had an infection but it wasn't bad enough to make me ill-no fever, no pain to speak of, just a little uncomfortable and a lot unnerving. He finally prescribed a different, stronger antibiotic and within a couple of days the tunneling stopped and the incision closed. These things happen. Drs work diligently to prevent infection, but it happens. The competency and care I experienced with Dr. Bae and his PA Lisa cannot be overstated. I was not worried for a second, and when I objected to going under again for the drain, Dr. Bae was firm that we shouldn't wait too long, but he didn't push. I sent Lisa gross pictures of the wound and the bandages every day, and it was enough to ruin the strongest of stomachs. Her communication was right on, and frequent. Saving the best for last, my back is good as new. The only negative was that with a repaired back my knee situation came to the forefront and proceeded to cause me suffering the back couldn't hold a candle to. I got that taken care of in September of 2019 (see my review of Dr Andrew Yun). I cannot say enough about Dr. Bae and his staff. He is just wonderful and he'll be my go-to if any future issues arise.

Dr. Millstein has been my go-to doctor for my aches and pains. While he specializes in knee and shoulder issues, I know he’ll find the right option for me. I like him and trust him.

Had a great experience visiting Dr. Millstein for my knee pain. He came highly recommended and I could see why. He saw me at my scheduled time and didn’t keep me waiting. He took the time to examine and address all my questions and concerns. Dr Millstein prescribed a treatment right for me and didn’t have me go through costly MRIs that he didn’t see necessary.
