X-ray technician was prompt, efficient and thorough. He took 4-5 X-rays. Then two nurses checked me and my records. Both nurses were knowledgeable and efficient. Then Dr. Khurana saw my X-rays and explained the problem with my vertebrae and the disc and reasons why I should consider surgery. I was happy with the services that everyone provided. Thank you.

1. The location is convenient 2. The office is pristine and inviting. 3. The staff is pleasant and efficient. 4. There was very little wait time. **The consultation with the Dr. was thorough, and all of my questions were answered. She explained more than I asked, and I like that. Having the X-ray before seeing the Dr. was very helpful.

After extensive research and consultations with multiple spine surgeons, I chose Dr. Brandon Ortega and that decision proved to be absolutely the right one. From the outset, Dr. Ortega demonstrated a level of expertise, precision, and clinical judgment that immediately set him apart. He took the time to thoroughly explain my diagnosis, reviewed imaging in detail, and clearly outlined the reasoning behind each treatment option. His approach was thoughtful, methodical, and grounded in both experience and evidence. Having been under Dr. Ortega’s care for several months prior to surgery, I always felt confident that my case was being managed with careful attention and long-term planning. When surgery became necessary, his professionalism and technical skill were evident throughout the entire process. The results thus far have been outstanding. For the first time in a very long time, I am not experiencing the back pain, leg pain, shooting pain, or numbness that had significantly affected my daily life. The improvement has been both meaningful and noticeable. Equally impressive was Dr. Ortega’s team. His staff and surgical coordinator were responsive, organized, and consistently supportive before and after surgery, a reflection of a well-run, patient-focused practice. Choosing a spine surgeon is a major decision. Based on both the process and the results, I can say with confidence that Dr. Ortega is an exceptional surgeon whose skill, judgment, and care truly stand out. I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone facing complex spinal issues. — Michael H., Long Beach, CA

Dr. Ramkumar diagnosed and solved a problem that has caused me back pain for over 20 years, going back to collegiate athletics. What I thought was a back problem was actually a hip/femur issue. Dr. Ramkumar diagnosed it immediately, and worked with my insurance to have surgery approved. The surgery went off without a hitch. I felt no pain after the surgery (even when the meds wore off), either at the incision site or within my hip/back. My previous back pain was almost immediately gone. Minah and the physical therapy staff were also incredible in getting me back to better than before. I can’t thank Dr. Ramkumar and his staff enough, this surgery and diagnosis was truly life changing.

Dr. Ramkumar has been the best doctor I have ever had the opportunity to see. Let me rewind a bit. I had a serious soccer accident when I was 16 that resulted in hip surgery at 17. At the time, I thought I was good to go. Unfortunately, my body had other plans. I only had about two pain-free years before the hip pain returned, and over the next 8–9 years it slowly got worse. What started as hip pain turned into back pain, knee pain, sciatica—you name it. I tried everything: physical therapy after physical therapy, aqua therapy, doctor after doctor. Every test came back “normal,” and no one could tell me what was wrong. It felt like either no one was looking hard enough, or no one truly understood what I was dealing with. That all changed when I met Dr. Ramkumar. At my very first appointment, he took new X-rays, looked at them once, and immediately knew what was wrong. For the first time, I finally had answers. Even more importantly, he took the time—despite his busy schedule—to sit with me and explain everything in a way I could truly understand. He is incredibly personable and never talks down to you like some doctors do. You can genuinely tell that he cares about helping you get your life back from chronic pain. I was understandably nervous about going through surgery again, but between Dr. Ramkumar and his amazing staff, I felt confident moving forward. And let me tell you—it was life-changing. I finally feel free from the pain that haunted me for so many years. I only wish I had found his office sooner. Every single staff member, from the PAs to the front office team, is kind, welcoming, and treats you like family. They make you feel heard, comfortable, and supported—qualities that are sadly rare in medical settings, in my experience. I am beyond grateful for the care Dr. Ramkumar and his team have provided, and I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone who is sick and tired of living in pain.

If you are an athlete or you have an athlete child, this review is for you. It can be the craziest experience when your kid gets injured. On top of all the emotions there's the inescapable reality of "what next" When the dust settles, the MRIs are back, and the reality of surgery becomes inevitable an even more important question looms: "Where can I get the best possible care?" My daughter received the best possible care with Dr Ramkumar and he's the answer. I strongly feel that if my daughter (elite level high school wrestler) had her primary ACL surgery done by Dr Ram to begin with, she likely would have never needed the ACL revision surgery that brought us to Dr Ram. Being traumatized by the last experience I knew this time around that I needed to find someone young,  someone with modern ideas and applications,  new-school and capable, works with athletes and understands those demands, and someone who specializes in knees day in and day out. With athletes,  the timeline is crucial. Within one day of my girl's re-injury my friend reached out to Dr Ramkumar's NP with a Homie Hookup request and by 10 pm that same night Dr Ram had personally reached out to me by email and said verbatim, "I will see you soon and fix this problem. Happy to help...I can see you before the MRI" Please tell me what doctor on planet earth takes their own time to reach out after hours and is like 'hey don't worry I'm gonna fix your kid?' That's incredible. I looked into him at that point and his qualifications are ridiculously excellent. Like okay Overachiever, leave some accolades for the rest of the people. But that's exactly what we needed. Within 3 weeks of her injury date she was on his operating table. He decided to do this so that she could be ready for the next wrestling season. He had spoken to her personally about her goals and that led him to help us push through red tape to get this done ASAP. His beside manner for a surgeon is pretty impeccable. But here's the craziest part. Her surgery randomly ended up getting pushed for many hours at the surgical center that day.  He could've canceled her but instead he honored his word and did the surgery which started at like 9 pm! He even called me from the OR to explain how he was needing to go in and fix some things from her previous surgery, that's why it was taking a little longer and basically not to worry. I felt so in the loop and like she was truly in the best hands.  He did ACL revision,  LET, and stem cell therapy on her and he closed her up w the most dainty and technical stitching. Like he's basically a skin tailor, tffff The above is all a testament to his work ethic and his clear commitment to his own high standards of excellence. Now she's going on 2 months post-op, acute recovery was smooth and easy, Dr R and the PTs are all really happy with where she is and she could not have done this without Dr Ramkumar. He went above and beyond to deliver his best work. I hope you never need ACL repair but if you do there is nobody better in California to get in front of than this guy and his AWESOME NP, Margo! Boom! (I don't have any pics of them together but in PT she's a beast BECAUSE of his work!)

My experience at the clinic, and this was the first time I was there and the first time I met Dr Eric Millstein was uplifting, inspiring, spiced by a fantastic sense of humor, full openness and a feeling of complete trust, sharing the same perspectives and met an open minded doctor, extremely knowledgeable, and I actually felt like a butterfly when leaving the clinic. We discussed the problem, agreed on the future decision I would have to make about a surgery, but no pressure and no gambling, he decided to send me to an MRI, just to make sure it wasn’t worsened since the previous MRI Thank you, Dr Eric Millstein and the whole staff

I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Ramkumar and his entire team! From my very first appointment through surgery and recovery, I was in great hands and felt truly cared for. Not only is Dr. Ramkumar meticulous and skilled with the actual surgery, he and his team are kind, professional, knowledgeable, and experienced in all that they do. I couldn’t ask for a better surgical team! They took the time to explain everything and made me feel confident every step of the way. They were responsive and thorough when I had any questions or concerns - you can tell they genuinely care about their patients. I initially injured my knee in January and had two subsequent injuries before I finally got an MRI in July that confirmed a full ACL tear. I had done a number on my knee. I was beginning to feel defeated because I am a pretty active person and wasn’t able to do the activities that I love, like CrossFit and volleyball. Once I met with Dr. Ramkumar, I immediately knew he was the surgeon for me. He empathized with my concerns of wanting to get back to my active lifestyle, gave me hope that I would be able to get back to it, and built my confidence in getting the surgery. My full ACL repair (BTB patellar graft) and meniscus root repair went smoothly and my recovery has been going amazingly so far. I’m already feeling stronger just 4 months post op and am so excited to eventually get back to my pre op activity levels. Many people are amazed by my progress! The pain was minimal even immediately after surgery, which was a pleasant surprise. Choosing Dr. Ramkumar was one of the best decisions I could have made and I would 100% recommend him to anyone needing orthopedic care, especially athletes.

Just so happened to stumble upon this clinic and get scheduled with the soonest available appointment and it was with Dr Ramkumar, I am so blessed. Being an athlete, I was training for a half marathon when my knees didn’t feel right..shortly thereafter my pain transferred to my hip, resulting in the diagnosis of a bilateral hip impingement, Dr Ramkumar’s expertise. Surgery has always been my last resort, but once Dr Ramkumar went over the explanation clearly and concisely, I felt that I was in good hands and immediately decided to pursue with the arthroscopic surgery. He explained my diagnosis in simple human terms that allowed it easy to understand and made sure all of my questions were answered. I was honestly amazed by how smoothly everything went and how quickly I healed, which truly speaks to his precision and skill in the operating room. Beyond being an incredibly talented surgeon, Dr. Ramkumar is also such a light-hearted, kind human who genuinely cares about his patients as people, not just cases. He took the time to listen to my story, understand my goals as an athlete, and support me every step of the way. He is such a caring surgeon, if not the most caring surgeon I’ve had, from pre-op to post op appointments, it’s always a joy to be in his clinic.

Dr. Millstein restored my right rotator cuff to better-than-new condition nine years ago. My latest visit was to be examined for soreness in my left shoulder. X-rays and an examination by him indicated it was nothing more than a pulled ligament requiring some physical therapy. I found Dr. Millstein to be just as personable and professional as he was years ago. See him. Trust him. You’ll be glad you did.

To begin with the staff was wonderful. His new office space is modern and spacious. It was also impressive that Dr Millistein has a technician on site for X-rays. Dr. Millstein is amazing doctor. He did my right knee about a year ago and it’s in fantastic condition. I tell people it’s biotic. Lol. I’m scheduled to do my left knee in a few months and looking forward to be able to do more activities without any pain. Thank you Dr milstein and staff.

Dr. Bae and his staff were great. I went for my first consult and he explained everything that was going on with my back after looking at the mri result. He went into detail of what I need and I didn’t even feel scared when he told me that I needed surgery to fix it. I will definitely go back to see him again.

Lovely office and efficient. Dr Khurana is kind, direct and easy to talk to. He explained what was going on based on my X-rays/MRI in a clear, concise way that didn't feel overwhelming. We have a plan in place to treat my neck pain and that is a huge relief.

Dr. Ramkumar completely relieved my left hip pain—something I’d struggled with for several years. I’ve always been active, having played field hockey and tennis in my younger days, but the pain eventually became so severe that I could barely walk a couple of blocks. I was diagnosed with a left hip impingement and labral tear, and underwent surgery with Dr. Ramkumar. Now, five weeks post-op, I’m walking pain-free and steadily regaining my strength. From the initial consultations to the surgery, physical therapy, and follow-up visits, every step of the process was seamless. Dr. Ramkumar’s expertise, compassion, and genuine passion for helping patients made all the difference. I’m deeply grateful to Dr. Ramkumar and his team. Thanks to them, I can walk without pain again and look forward to staying active for years to come.

Dr Estess was great! She took lots of time with me to answer my questions and was thorough, warm and informed. I also appreciated that she didn’t just default to surgery being needed before having proper images to look at. She ordered some MRI’s and we plan to meet in a couple weeks. The entire team was excellent and it’s a really nice office, well run and comfortable. I’m pleased! Much thanks Dr Estess!

The entire experience was wonderful! Intake was fast then I proceeded directly to xray then to Dr Lee's patient room. Within minutes he came in, asking and answering questions and explaining in detail the plan. I felt great confidence in his ability to help me. His assistant immediately worked with my insurance. From beginning to end the entire event was superb!

This was a first visit. I brought along disks, as requested, of a previous MRI and CT scan. I was also x-rated during my visit. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. Dr. Bhalla asked directed questions and put me through movements to diagnose my issues. He also was very kind and polite.

I saw Dr. Millstein about 15 years ago for a torn rotator cuff. He did surgery and brought me back to 100%. I have seen him since for other issues, and he has always been great. Surgery is always his last option, and he does everything he can to avoid it. Most recently, I saw him for a problem with my scapula. He immediately told me that X-rays and other procedures were not needed and explained that physical therapy is what is needed. He then proceeded to find me several providers near me. For a surgeon who makes his money doing surgery to avoid it as much as possible, you know he cares about his patients and doing the right thing.
