> After my daughter injured her knee, we spent months being told she just needed rest, but she never fully healed. Once an MRI was finally ordered, we met with a local orthopedic surgeon, but the experience felt rushed and lacked compassion. That’s when I started researching other options and came across Dr. Ramkumar.
> From our very first appointment, we knew we had made the right decision. Dr. Ramkumar was kind, patient, informative, and never once made us feel rushed or pressured into surgery. He took the time to thoroughly explain her ACL and meniscus surgery along with the recovery process, which gave us so much reassurance during a stressful time.
> Her recovery has honestly exceeded anything we expected. She was off crutches at 2 weeks, out of her brace at 4 weeks, and now 4 months post-op she continues to do incredibly well with minimal to no pain. His physical therapy team has also been amazing supportive, patient, and truly invested in her recovery.
> We gladly make the almost 3-hour commutes because Dr. Ramkumar and his entire team have been the perfect fit for my daughter. We are beyond grateful for the care, encouragement, and support they have given her throughout this journey.

> I was referred to Dr Bhalla when I went into another Ortho for hip surgery. After an MRI revealed pinched nerve issue in my neck, (probably as a result of arthritis). Dr Bhalla listened well to my history. After reviewing my xrays and MRI, he explained things precisely. We've set up surgery. I'm looking forward to the results. AND, his staff also rocks! Great communications. Quick in getting stuff done. And of course, friendly.

> Dr. Ramkumar is so awesome! From the beginning of my diagnoses, he was very transparent with me about my options and how full hip replacement would look for me. I was extremely afraid as this was my first surgery, but Dr. Ramkumar wasn’t pushy. He met me with factual information, images, and humor (especially when I was in tears). My full hip replacement as a 33 year old woman, was not only very neat, clean, and seamless, but it restored my self-esteem and ability to move the way that I’m used to. I have absolutely no complaints! I’m so glad I went with a second opinion, which is how I met Dr. Ramkumar. As a former athlete, I needed someone who has expertise in understanding the many facets of my range of motion and what I expected after surgery (to return to a semi-active lifestyle) that includes attention to diet and holistic options. Thank you so much for your precision, attention to detail, and knowledge. I couldn’t have chosen a better surgeon nor team!

> I was “bone on bone“ in both of my knees and had been to see 3 different knee specialists over the past 10 yrs. Dr. Ramkumar was the first and only one of the three to tell me that a partial knee replacement was even an option. It was what he recommended, and he backed it up with my x-rays and a clear explanation as to why a partial vs. a full was the clear way to go. Besides his phenomenal surgical expertise, one of the things I really appreciated about Dr. R is that he “got me“. I’m on the chronologically gifted side of things (71YO), but he took the time to understand how active a lifestyle I led, and the things I wanted to be able to keep doing after surgery, i.e. motocross ride, snow ski, pickleball, golf, hike and last but not least - play with our 7 grandkids! I worked out for 2 1/2 months prior to surgery to get my legs in the best possible shape and to help with recovery. Post surgery results have FAR exceeded my expectations. I know every patient will be different, but I have not experienced the pain level I anticipated. As of this writing, I’m 2 1/2 weeks post surgery and have only had to take two pain pills, and I walked 3.1 miles the day after surgery. We went to Disneyland with some friends a week and a day after surgery and walked from 9am-10:30pm. I was tired at the end but no knee pain following either walk! I would highly encourage anyone to pay Dr. R a visit, especially if you’ve already been told you need a full knee replacement. That’s nothing to mess with, and a second opinion could be very helpful in making an informed and wise decision.

> We had a great experience with Dr Garabekyan. We saw him for a consultation and I feel he did a thorough evaluation and took his time to explain his findings. Everyone at the office was a pleasure to deal with from my initial phone call, appointment confirmation call, office staff and x-ray tech. The office is modern, beautiful and comfortable. There may be other options, but we parked in the underground structure and it was valet only.

> Dr. Eric Millstein was my last minute second option, I'm filled with graduate for that chance to end up having my left rotator cuff surgery done by him. I can’t say enough good things about the entire experience. From my very first consultation, he was thorough, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable, he took the time to clearly explain my diagnosis, walk me through all my treatment options, and set realistic expectations for recovery.
>
> The surgery itself went smoothly, and I felt confident knowing I was in such capable hands. What really stood out, though, was the level of care and attention I received throughout the entire process, from pre-op to post-op follow-ups from the entire crew.
>
> Today, 10 weeks after the surgery, and only 5 weeks of physical therapy, I'm extremely happy and satisfied with my recovery progress, now I can see it thorough, full recovery is just around the corner.
>
> If you’re looking for a skilled, compassionate, and dedicated orthopedic surgeon, I highly recommend Dr. Millstein!!

> Two years ago, I had a partial knee replacement by Dr. Ramkumar. Prior to the surgery I was seen at both of his offices in Long Beach and Lakewood for the initial consultations, x-rays, surgery preparation, etc. His office staff were professional and friendly. The day of the surgery, I was scheduled to arrive at 5AM, may be earlier, I was a little intimidated by the looks of the surgery building (had never been to à “surgery building”, I mean the building is nice but it’s specifically dedicated to surgeries-meat chopping room 😳). My amazing doctor comes in and immediately makes me feel comfortable. He is young, BUT he is skilled, experienced and he is the best at what he does. I have heard horrible stories about knee replacements, but after my own surgery I highly recomend that you get yourself out of misery and get your knee replacement done. And if you choose Dr Ramkumar you will not be disappointed.

> From the time of making the appointment for Dr Estes, I was treated with respect and kindness. This is something that I’ve noticed is missing in healthcare.
> At my arrival I needed a wheelchair, and that ask was accommodated. Reception was especially friendly helping me get checked in. Dr Estes is exceptional and her exam was thorough, explained things to me in plain English and she was compassionate. The xray tech and nurse were kind and seemed to genuinely care. They were not just “doing a job” - they enjoyed being helpful.
>
> This isn’t what I’ve been experiencing lately within the medical network and was a welcome change for me during a very hard time.

Dr Port spent a great deal of time reviewing my MRIs, X Ray ans CT scans prior to deciding on treatment and conferred with my other caregivers via phone right before the procedure. Very caring doctor with incredible attention to detail. Procedure under GA was quick and relatively pain free

> Dr Millstein could not have been more helpful and precise discussing my options after an acl and meniscus tearing ski accident two weeks prior. He instantly gained my trust explaining the details of my injury from mri imaging and involved me in the choices I had to make on surgery v rehab . I cannot recommend him highly enough after my initial consultation. I chose the surgery route , and his team slotted me in quickly to get me back to work, which is my number one priority .10/10 .

> I switched orthopedist's recently because I wasn't getting the results I needed it. Dr. Estess was recommended by my physical therapist. She's wonderful! She takes the time to listen, she is conservative in her assessment, doesn't seem to want to rush into surgery. After my MRI results, she changed my physical therapy order and within 2 weeks. I am doing much better. I highly recommend her.
>
> Also, the office staff was very friendly and efficient. And I didn't have to wait a long time once I got to the office.

> Dr.Leonel Hunt
> I live in the Los Angeles area and was referred to Dr. Leonel Hunt by a local physician. I was referred for a very painful, complex, and difficult to diagnose cervical spine disorder.
> Dr. Hunt was able to make the correct diagnosis, based on his physical examination, the meticulous history that he took, the imaging that he reviewed, as well as his extensive experience as an orthopedic surgeon .
> He explained the reasoning behind his thinking, and explained how he came to the conclusion that he did. He answered all my questions fully.
> The decision to proceed with immediate surgery was a collaborative decision between Dr. Hunt, myself and my spouse.
> I had surgery the following day at Cedars-Sinai , with everything going uneventfully. Dr.Hunt
> found a herniated disk , as he expected, which he removed.
> My pain symptoms ,which had kept me out of work for 2 1/2 weeks ,markedly improved immediately after the surgery. Some diminished pain persisted postoperatively, however,
> five months post surgery, my pain was completely gone.
> I highly recommend Dr. Leonel Hunt. He is the best.

> I recently underwent hip resurfacing surgery with Dr. Ramkumar, and if I could give him ten stars instead of five, I absolutely would. From start to finish, my experience has been exceptional, and I am beyond pleased with both my recovery and the mobility I’ve regained.
>
> Before surgery, I was diagnosed with grade 4 chondromalacia of the pelvis along with severe tearing and fraying of the labrum. The pain and stiffness were constant and significantly limited my daily life. I couldn’t participate in the activities I love, and at my worst, I could barely bend down to tie my shoes.
>
> Now, just seven weeks post-op, my joint pain is gone, my mobility has dramatically improved, and I can already place my palms flat on the floor — something that felt impossible before surgery. The smoothness of my recovery has exceeded my expectations.
>
> While many surgeons list hip resurfacing among the procedures they perform, only a select few in the United States have the depth of experience and expertise to truly excel at it. Dr. Ramkumar is one of those few. His extensive experience, meticulous surgical technique, and use of advanced technology to ensure precise implant positioning made all the difference in my outcome.
>
> I chose to travel out of state specifically to have my surgery performed by Dr. Ramkumar, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. His skill, thoroughness, and genuine care are evident in every aspect of the process.
>
> If you’re considering hip resurfacing, Dr. Ramkumar checks every box. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

> Dr. Ortega has been amazing, life changing!! I was in so much pain by the time I was referred to him, I was barely sleeping, and missing a ton of work because of the pain and feeling off balance. I was initially referred to physical therapy which was helping both my neck and a shoulder condition. I wasn’t understanding how so many symptoms (pain in my arm, fingers tingling, feeling off balance) all stemmed from my neck. When Dr. Ortega spoke with me about Complete Disk Replacement surgery I was relieved. Though the procedure on my neck sounded scary it HAD to be better than how life had been. I was actually excited for the surgery and couldn’t stop smiling any time it was brought up. Surgery day couldn’t come fast enough. Dr. Ortega took time to explain the surgery and what to expect after it. There were literally no surprises. I felt very little pain after surgery, mostly from the incision itself. There was some discomfort in my neck, almost felt as if there was a lump in my throat. This went away in about 6 weeks. I was off all pain meds within days of surgery. I was nervous about swallowing and stuck to a liquid diet for a few days. Swallowing was back to normal with in a week or two, ice pops became a favorite! . My voice was a little raspy for a short time as well, cleared up within a month. I just had my 6 month post-op appointment and I can’t tell you enough how amazing I feel! The pain and tingling are completely gone (went to physical therapy for some time…work the process). I can sleep through the night again! I did have one odd symptom around 3 months post op, when I tilted my head down I felt a static sensation from neck to my fingers which lasted a second. Dr. Ortega was able to see me next day, checked X-rays and everything looked great. My nerves were heeling and the sensation went away after a couple of weeks. I know the thought of surgery on your neck sounds very scary…if Dr. Ortega is your surgeon, rest easy…he knows what he’s doing. He takes the time to explain everything about the surgery (CDR), what to expect after, answered every question I had which eased my mind. He gave me my life back! Thank you Dr. Ortega!!

> From my first call with August, who assisted in scheduling and preparing for an appointment, throughout the entire check-in process, everyone was kind, informative, and patient. I am a very concerned and anxious Mother, due to the pain my son is currently experiencing.
> When Bernadette was examining Nicholas, she was thorough, kind with her examination, and very informative, and clear when answering our many questions. Dr. Bae gave his description and diagnosis after studying Nicholas’ MRI, and we could clearly see the extent of Nicholas injury, and intervention would be needed to repair. In making the decision for an epidural and surgery Bernadette and Dr. Bae were patient and very informative as we were making decisions about an epidural and surgery.
