I am a Spine and Sports Medicine physical therapist that has been helping people with debilitating spinal pain. I only bring that up because when I had back surgery, he demonstrated good bedside manner, compassion, expertise and most importantly, I've been able to perform at a high level... lifting weights and being active with three kids 15 years later. > > When I had to make the decision on who to do my spine surgery at age 28, (I am 42 now) I went and had consultations by the best. I was a spine specialist at that time and went to numerous conferences, so those were who I reached out to. I had second, third , and fourth opinions. Khurana was my fourth and he was the only one that showed compassionate care. Btw I had a disc that was sequestered (broke off). > > He taught me that being the best is not enough as a practitioner. Millstein, MD > I had an L2/L3 micro decompression with Dr. Khurana in May, 2022. All things considered, I could not be happier...of course wishing I wasn't in this boat, I found Dr. Khurana and his office superb. Kind, caring, knowledgeable, practical...they put the package together well. At the outset, we had some small issues with getting timely return calls, but that issue went away once we got really into the process. It's clear (in a very good way) that they do this for a living and really, really, really know what they are doing...the issues I had were, for them, commonplace. I guess that's where a patient wants things to be. Physically, I am vastly better (I can walk more than 50 yards again!) with some relatively minor residual nerve issues in my lower leg. Dr. Khurana is, again, very knowledgeable, considerate, caring, practical and communicative about those issues...in the real world (again, of course, wishing I didn't have them), I couldn't ask for anything more. Overall, I am extremely pleased to have chosen Dr. Khurana for my surgery. P. I was suffering from an excruciating pain due to a torn disc that was pinching my nerves. My husband had called many surgeons in order to make an appointment for a potential surgery and all have given him sometimes within 2 months of wait. His staff was very kind after my husband was explaining how much pain I am suffering to email him as they were talking over the phone to see if he can see me soon. I was in his office 5 days after! It was obvious that he had studied my MRI images before coming into the room because he knew what exactly was wrong with me and spotted the areas I was suffering with pain. His bed manner and presents and how involved he was with me throughout was remarkable. I am very grateful I picked and trusted him. I am 7 weeks post-op and feel amazing. Thank you so much Dr. Hunt! Dr Millstein was down to earth, honest, professional and straightforward with me. I am in my 70's, have travelled extensively my entire life, so I've had a lot of experience with many types of doctors, with several broken bones in my life, I speak from experience. > I highly recommend this wonderful surgeon (also the reviews demonstrate this along, with some of his previous and current patients with whom I spoke) And of course, it all trickles from the top, suggesting that every staff member in Dr Millstein's facility followed suite, all being kind, professional, efficient and caring.
