I have seen Dr. Millstein three times. Dr Eric is professional, attentive, compassionate and thorough in treatment and in responding to concerns. When I call for an appointment, his phones are answered by a real person, and I was able to get a next day appointment in spite of his very full practice. His staff and technicians are equally attentive and helpful. Dr Millstein is a keeper!

Dear Dr. Millstein and Staff, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the exceptional care I received during my recent visit to your office on Tuesday, July 9, 2024. As a new patient, I was unsure of what to expect, but your entire team made me feel incredibly welcome and comfortable right from the start. Firstly, I was impressed by how efficiently the administrative staff handled my paperwork and insurance details. They were friendly and helpful, which immediately put me at ease. During my consultation with you, I found your approach to be not only professional but also very personable. You took the time to listen attentively to my concerns and thoroughly explained the treatment options available to me. Your expertise and empathy were evident throughout the appointment, and I left feeling reassured and confident in my healthcare plan moving forward. Additionally, the facilities were clean and well-maintained, which further added to the positive experience. Overall, my visit exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to continuing my healthcare journey under your guidance. Thank you once again for your outstanding care and for creating such a positive environment in your practice. B. montgomery

I have to preface my comments about my experience with Dr. Khurana and his staff with the fact that I have never been a fan of allopathic medicine, doctors and especially surgeons would be a massive understatement. Almost every friend and family member that's ever had to have surgery, especially back surgery has only come out worse for the wear. Or having to go back multiple times and never recovering partially or fully. I was referred by my primary care physician who could not stop raving about Dr. Khurana as he had fixed one of those bad surgeries I mentioned. Needless to say I was not excited but the pain I was experiencing with my degenerative disc disease, osteoporosis and bulging discs was having a tremendous effect on my mental well-being and ability to do the simplest tasks. Just say I was depressed would've been an understatement. Even though the spinal fusion surgery on my L4 L5 disc's was due before the Covid pandemic hit I was forced to wait three years for my surgery. He advised me if I woke up paralyzed I should call immediately. It was a long three years and not because of the pandemic itself. Possible paralysis can be horrifying consideration. Because I was a Medicare patient I had the surgery performed at St. John's hospital. I happen to have a strange condition where I am highly resistant to anesthesia and have woken up twice during minor surgeries and although by now I was completely unafraid of the surgery itself because I knew I was in such good hands (I had three years to do a lot of research on Dr. Khurana) but the anesthesia situation was still terrifying. I knew the surgery would be longer and more complicated than originally planned but the anesthesiologist completely understood my legitimate concern. To be totally honest I don't remember a thing after getting to the hospital after prepping myself early that morning. And afterwards there was much less pain than I expected and after a year and a half I'm happy to report after getting fresh imaging and consulting with Dr. Khurana last week found out that the surgery was a complete success. I've spoken to surgeons in the past, For myself and as support for friends and family and I have never ever met a surgeon as warm and genuinely caring as this wonderful man. On top of that he also has the patience of a saint. I am not an easy patient, I am well aware of that. But no matter how many phone calls I made and my endless questions and concerns everyone from reception to his medical assistant always treated me with kindness and compassion, like a human being and not just a patient or a file number. After the summer I will be going back to have the screws taken out of my back since the bone grafting was so successful and this time they will be no fear involved whatsoever. It's been five years since we started our journey. It's not over yet and hopefully my DDD will not require any future surgeries. But should I ever need another you can trust I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to his office again. I'm grateful that he is so much younger than me and hope he never leaves the Los Angeles area. Anyone who has the opportunity to have this extraordinarily gifted and compassionate surgeon perform a procedure on them they are incredibly blessed. I am so grateful he did not decide to become a car mechanic with those gifted hands and golden heart.

Dr. Khurana is compassionate, totally vested in your recovery, a terrific listener, knowledgeable and highly skilled. When you need to put your back problems in a surgeons hands, Dr Khurana always makes you feel like you are his only patient/or his most important patient. Dr. Khurana and his staff are the "A-team" when you need back problem help. I gladly travel from Hawaii just to see him and I highly recommend anyone with back problems to seek him out at the Marina del Rey DISC center. I'd give him 10 stars if I could!!

Dr Estess was incredibly helpful and gave me a thorough explanation of what was going on with my shoulder. I sought her out for a third opinion and was glad I did. She spent a lot of time with me explaining the MRI and options to consider for me before jumping into surgery. She was kind, practical, helpful and friendly. I trust her judgment and appreciate the way she gave me a full picture of what to anticipate: pros and cons, of my condition.

Dr. David Lee, Orthopaedic Surgeon is an expert in his field and also a really kind doctor! He has a gentle and thorough way of explaining what is going on with your foot. And he is thoughtful and has great advice. Even though he is a surgeon, he offers other medical suggestions to help with foot pain or other foot issues before he recommends surgery. I have been his patient for many years regarding my foot issues that are hereditary. I recently chose to have surgery and it has been three months and I am doing great. The staff is superb and always treats you with great respect and kindness. I highly recommend Dr. David Lee to be your foot specialist!

I received excellent care and wonderful follow up after my complicated surgery. I cannot say enough good things about Dr Khurana and his staff. He is so attentive and empathetic. He explains things in laymen’s terms and is patient with a myriad of questions. Dr Khurana gave me my life back. Bianka is wonderful too. 😊

Dr Eric Milstein is comprehensively the definition of a great orthopedic surgeon: calm, confident, honest, responsive, caring, good listener, supportive , focused, present, and technically an expert in his surgical speciality! This is far more than just a good surgeon!!!

Dr. Milstein is incredibly thorough, compassionate and caring physician. I have already had him replace one knee and I’m about to have the other done and I couldn’t be more confident in his skill and my treatment in the past and upcoming!

Once upon a time, in the not-so-fairy-tale land of Chronic Painville, lived an adventurous soul (that's me!), who, following an automotive misadventure that would make even a stunt driver wince, ended up with a neck and back more twisted than a mystery novel plot - think C6/7 and L5/S1 playing the lead villains in this spine-tingling saga. Picture this: a disc replacement at C-6 and 7 became my immediate quest, as I was in such excruciating pain that moving my neck felt like I was auditioning for the role of a non-flexible robot. Now, disc replacement surgery at the time was the new kid on the block in the US, strutting down the medical runway with its shiny new potential. Lumbar spine, though? Not so much on the VIP list yet. And fusion? Oh, I'd heard the tales of woe and stiffness - a motley crew of friends still in agony or moving like vintage robots post-fusion had me saying, "Thanks, but no thanks." So, there I was, waiting in the wings, pain as my constant companion, for years, dreaming of the day when lumbar disc replacement would hit the mainstream. And let me tell you, the idea of doctors rummaging around the front of my torso gave me the heebie-jeebies - like, serious "Are you sure you don't need a map?" vibes. But then, as the pain crescendoed to a level of unbearable that had me contemplating a career as a human pretzel, I embarked on a quest to find the Merlin of spine surgery. Enter Dr. Khurana - a wizard, a magician, a veritable rock star of the OR. Initially, he was like, "Hmm, your disc has left the building, and we're talking bone-on-bone - wanna see the MRI to prove it? Might have to go the fusion route, but let's give it a whirl." D-Day arrived, and guess what? Dr. Khurana pulled off the impossible with the panache of a maestro conducting a symphony - no fusion, just pure, unadulterated surgical genius. His team? Angels in scrubs, each more caring and considerate than the last. And Dr. Khurana? A man so passionate about his craft, he could probably perform surgery with his eyes closed (not that he did, mind you - just saying, he's that good). Sure, a year later and I'm still on nodding terms with some residual pain, but it's nothing - a mere whisper compared to the cacophony of agony I endured for years. So here's to Dr. Khurana and his crew - the rock stars of the medical world, who gave me back a semblance of normalcy and taught me that, sometimes, the best fairy tales don't involve princes or dragons, but gifted surgeons with the power to change lives.

Dr. Wassef did a hip replacement this week and it went very well. He was so kind and professional and made me feel at ease. His PA Jason was equally wonderful. I would recommend Dr. Wassef to anyone needing a total hip replacement.

Dr Ramkumar did an ACL reconstruction on me and his duty of care was amazing. On arrival he was very professional and extremely personable which put me at ease starting from our initial meeting, surgery and throughout aftercare. I followed every detail of his instructions which he provides online which was very helpful. My physical therapist couldn’t believe that I was able return to work just 2 1/2 weeks after surgery and asked if he was wearing a cape… lol ( definitely has some special gift). He ensures the highest level of care and compassion, making sure every detail is explained and understood, which makes you feel completely at ease and in very capable hands. He is an asset to his profession and I highly recommend him!

There are no words to truly express our gratitude to Dr. Khurana. He is a genius surgeon with a heart of gold. My husband spent 50 years in agonizing pain until Dr Khurana performed an intensely difficult surgery that left my husband pain free for the first time in his life. I myself had a very complicated surgery that Dr Khurana performed on me completely successfully. I was terrified and this deeply compassionate doctor walked me through my fears and changed my life..Dr Khurana's commitment to his patients care is priceless and heartfelt. He is simply a very special human being and a master surgeon...We are truly blessed to have him in our lives...
