I was in so much pain before my surgery walking, sleeping, and even daily activities became a struggle. When I finally met Dr Ramkumar, I immediately felt hope. He went to Harvard, and you can tell from the moment he speaks that he’s not only brilliant but also incredibly compassionate and grounded. He took the time to listen, explain every detail, and make sure I felt comfortable and informed. When it came time for surgery, he repaired both of my meniscus with absolute precision and care. The results were beyond what I ever expected I truly feel like I got my life back. His patience, professionalism, and dedication to his patients are unmatched. What stood out most was how genuine he is. He doesn’t just treat your condition he treats you as a whole person. Every follow-up visit was handled with kindness and attention, and I always felt like I was in the best possible hands. If you’re ever in need of an orthopedic surgeon, I can’t recommend Dr. Ramkumar enough. He’s a true expert at what he does and a doctor who truly cares about the people he helps. Another huge plus is that physical therapy is offered on-site. The PT team is just as amazing. They are knowledgeable, attentive and incredible supportive throughout the recovery process. Having everything under one roof made the entire process from surgery to rehab seamless and stress-free. I can't recommend Dr. Ramkumar and his team enough. I thank Dr Ramkumar for his excellent surgical skills & abilities, but also, for preparing me in the months pre-surgery through his excellent educational website which guided me each step of the way. As the surgery approached, any questions I had were answered quickly by email through Stephanie and Margo. My appointments with Dr Ramkumar were never rushed, he is very approachable! All my questions for him were answered in a way I could easily understand, even though they were regarding complex robotic surgery. I’m 67 years old & my world had become very narrow & restricted due to the often debilitating pain & range of motion which prevented me from even simple walks with my pup. It was a bad place to be, but each day of my recovery this 2nd week has opened my world back up to where I can once again see myself having new adventures, social activities & hobbies! As for the pain, I didn’t need narcotic pain medication past the 2nd day post-surgery. My pain is simply managed by Tylenol & is really nothing compared to the pain before surgery! I was released from the walker last week & today my PT allowed me to walk around inside the house without my cane! Thank you Dr Ramkumar! Ramkumar, MD, MBA > I saw Dr. Millstein about 15 years ago for a torn rotator cuff. He did surgery and brought me back to 100%. I have seen him since for other issues, and he has always been great. Surgery is always his last option, and he does everything he can to avoid it. Most recently, I saw him for a problem with my scapula. He immediately told me that X-rays and other procedures were not needed and explained that physical therapy is what is needed. He then proceeded to find me several providers near me. For a surgeon who makes his money doing surgery to avoid it as much as possible, you know he cares about his patients and doing the right thing. K. From my very first visit, he was straightforward, transparent, and took the time to explain my options while answering all my questions. I had surgery in February this year, and he made it clear that while he would do everything he could on his end, the real work would be up to me. Pre-op and post-op, Dr. Ramkumar provided a detailed plan to set me up for the best recovery possible.
