I've been seeing Dr. Khurana for 12 years. He's worked miracles on my spine. What's particularly great about him is the fact that he's up-to-date on the literature ... he knows what's good that is coming down the pike. You can't go wrong with this doc.

I really appreciate the attention and professionalism shown by the doctor and his office staff. They are all very attentive and go out of their way to make sure they have covered all the bases. The doctor gave us his undivided attention and made us feel relaxed with asking the many questions we had and we didn’t feel rushed. We saw the doctor right on time. His office staff were amazing at helping make quick appointments for us with other doctors that we needed to see. All in all a terrific experience.

I have to preface my comments about my experience with Dr. Khurana and his staff with the fact that I have never been a fan of allopathic medicine, doctors and especially surgeons would be a massive understatement. Almost every friend and family member that's ever had to have surgery, especially back surgery has only come out worse for the wear. Or having to go back multiple times and never recovering partially or fully. I was referred by my primary care physician who could not stop raving about Dr. Khurana as he had fixed one of those bad surgeries I mentioned. Needless to say I was not excited but the pain I was experiencing with my degenerative disc disease, osteoporosis and bulging discs was having a tremendous effect on my mental well-being and ability to do the simplest tasks. Just say I was depressed would've been an understatement. Even though the spinal fusion surgery on my L4 L5 disc's was due before the Covid pandemic hit I was forced to wait three years for my surgery. He advised me if I woke up paralyzed I should call immediately. It was a long three years and not because of the pandemic itself. Possible paralysis can be horrifying consideration. Because I was a Medicare patient I had the surgery performed at St. John's hospital. I happen to have a strange condition where I am highly resistant to anesthesia and have woken up twice during minor surgeries and although by now I was completely unafraid of the surgery itself because I knew I was in such good hands (I had three years to do a lot of research on Dr. Khurana) but the anesthesia situation was still terrifying. I knew the surgery would be longer and more complicated than originally planned but the anesthesiologist completely understood my legitimate concern. To be totally honest I don't remember a thing after getting to the hospital after prepping myself early that morning. And afterwards there was much less pain than I expected and after a year and a half I'm happy to report after getting fresh imaging and consulting with Dr. Khurana last week found out that the surgery was a complete success. I've spoken to surgeons in the past, For myself and as support for friends and family and I have never ever met a surgeon as warm and genuinely caring as this wonderful man. On top of that he also has the patience of a saint. I am not an easy patient, I am well aware of that. But no matter how many phone calls I made and my endless questions and concerns everyone from reception to his medical assistant always treated me with kindness and compassion, like a human being and not just a patient or a file number. After the summer I will be going back to have the screws taken out of my back since the bone grafting was so successful and this time they will be no fear involved whatsoever. It's been five years since we started our journey. It's not over yet and hopefully my DDD will not require any future surgeries. But should I ever need another you can trust I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to his office again. I'm grateful that he is so much younger than me and hope he never leaves the Los Angeles area. Anyone who has the opportunity to have this extraordinarily gifted and compassionate surgeon perform a procedure on them they are incredibly blessed. I am so grateful he did not decide to become a car mechanic with those gifted hands and golden heart.

Dr. Khurana is compassionate, totally vested in your recovery, a terrific listener, knowledgeable and highly skilled. When you need to put your back problems in a surgeons hands, Dr Khurana always makes you feel like you are his only patient/or his most important patient. Dr. Khurana and his staff are the "A-team" when you need back problem help. I gladly travel from Hawaii just to see him and I highly recommend anyone with back problems to seek him out at the Marina del Rey DISC center. I'd give him 10 stars if I could!!

I am so grateful that Dr. Khurana took the time to look at my images (not just read the report). and identified a cyst that the radiologist missed. To me, this is a good doctor.

I received excellent care and wonderful follow up after my complicated surgery. I cannot say enough good things about Dr Khurana and his staff. He is so attentive and empathetic. He explains things in laymen’s terms and is patient with a myriad of questions. Dr Khurana gave me my life back. Bianka is wonderful too. 😊

Dr. Khurana is an excellent doctor, surgeon and diagnostician. He has operated on my back and my neck with amazing results. I have referred several people to him and they are all extremely happy with him and their results. He is the best and I wouldn't use anyone else!

Dr Khurana has done two back surgeries on me over the years and has made it possible for me to continue a normal life. Other doctors had refused to do surgery but when I met with doctor Khurana and he looked at my MRI and X-ray he said with total confidence that he could help me and he did. He is the best!!

Dr Khurana and his team are terrific! He addressed my pain issues from previous surgeries ( Surgeries performed by a different surgeon). Dr. Khurana recommended a thorough plan for me and then a surgery to remove some misplaced & very painful hardware. Surgery was a complete success- I am pain free for the first time in many many years.

Once upon a time, in the not-so-fairy-tale land of Chronic Painville, lived an adventurous soul (that's me!), who, following an automotive misadventure that would make even a stunt driver wince, ended up with a neck and back more twisted than a mystery novel plot - think C6/7 and L5/S1 playing the lead villains in this spine-tingling saga. Picture this: a disc replacement at C-6 and 7 became my immediate quest, as I was in such excruciating pain that moving my neck felt like I was auditioning for the role of a non-flexible robot. Now, disc replacement surgery at the time was the new kid on the block in the US, strutting down the medical runway with its shiny new potential. Lumbar spine, though? Not so much on the VIP list yet. And fusion? Oh, I'd heard the tales of woe and stiffness - a motley crew of friends still in agony or moving like vintage robots post-fusion had me saying, "Thanks, but no thanks." So, there I was, waiting in the wings, pain as my constant companion, for years, dreaming of the day when lumbar disc replacement would hit the mainstream. And let me tell you, the idea of doctors rummaging around the front of my torso gave me the heebie-jeebies - like, serious "Are you sure you don't need a map?" vibes. But then, as the pain crescendoed to a level of unbearable that had me contemplating a career as a human pretzel, I embarked on a quest to find the Merlin of spine surgery. Enter Dr. Khurana - a wizard, a magician, a veritable rock star of the OR. Initially, he was like, "Hmm, your disc has left the building, and we're talking bone-on-bone - wanna see the MRI to prove it? Might have to go the fusion route, but let's give it a whirl." D-Day arrived, and guess what? Dr. Khurana pulled off the impossible with the panache of a maestro conducting a symphony - no fusion, just pure, unadulterated surgical genius. His team? Angels in scrubs, each more caring and considerate than the last. And Dr. Khurana? A man so passionate about his craft, he could probably perform surgery with his eyes closed (not that he did, mind you - just saying, he's that good). Sure, a year later and I'm still on nodding terms with some residual pain, but it's nothing - a mere whisper compared to the cacophony of agony I endured for years. So here's to Dr. Khurana and his crew - the rock stars of the medical world, who gave me back a semblance of normalcy and taught me that, sometimes, the best fairy tales don't involve princes or dragons, but gifted surgeons with the power to change lives.

In 2011 i was referred to Dr Khurana because my case was extremely severe. Best referral ever. I have a lemon of a skeleton which continues to erode but thank goodness i have a great Dr who knows how to repair it. His knowledge and explanations are thorough and covey the overall picture of what, where, when, why, and how to proceed. If you need a surgeon, this is THE one you want
