Hunt is the typical doctor that attends you just because he has to pay his bills. Also, beware upon entering this place. You have to pay the doctor, AND the hospital. Both times could have be resolved if either of them had ANY communication skills. At this point, I wouldn’t trust Dr Hunt to operate on my cat. Instead of recovering from surgery, I have had to spend hours on the phone filing complaints with Cedars Sinai, United Healthcare and Medicare. I actually came to believe that it is some kind of game with Dr Hunt. He had you jump through all the hoops and then cancels the surgery at the last moment. He fooled me twice. Never again. > > Edit: Funny that the response is to contact them to give them a chance to make it right. A few days before that response I received a letter from Dr Hunt saying that he would no longer consider me a patient and that I should find another doctor. I guess he’s trying to protect his public image. But as I told his assistant, I would rather let my cat perform the surgery with a butter knife than let Dr Leonel Hunt come near me. R. Unfortunately, he was dismissive and unprofessional, disregarding my concerns and attributing my pain solely to weight issues, recommending only physical therapy. More concerningly, I later discovered that he allegedly accessed and incorporated outdated, sensitive, and confidential records from past Cedars-Sinai visits into his notes without my consent. I had to contact Cedars multiple times to have this information removed from my after-visit summaries, as these notes are automatically populated for future visits with any provider once added. > > I would not recommend Dr. Hunt under any circumstances. His approach to my care was not only dismissive but also unethical. After seeking opinions from multiple specialists, I was properly diagnosed with a pars fracture that requires surgery—something physical therapy alone could never have addressed. > > If you are looking for a thorough, ethical, and competent physician, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. Walked into the room smelling like he was about to go out clubbing and with an open button down shirt where you could see his chest and "gold bling". Never listened to my issues, never looked at my imaging with him. He said, "why do I need to look for something another Dr saw? I make my fortune on operations like yours and this is something I cannot help you with." Dismissive and a MAJOR God complex. Based on my experience and other reviews, unless you need a major surgery, Dr Hunt doesn’t want to see you. The final straw was showing up to an appointment and having the receptionist tell me that I had called and cancelled my appointment because I wanted to see pain management. I had waited months for this appointment and do not want to see pain management. They offered to reschedule almost a month away. I told them not to worry about it, I would go somewhere else. D.
