Dr. Bhalla is a great man and a great surgeon. He operated on my son after his surfing accident that left him with very limited mobility on his left side and slightly more on his right. With Dr. Bhallla's highly skilled hands and with the Lords help my son walked out of rehab in just a month and 3 days after his accident. He was at Rancho Los amigos rehab in Downy Ca. The whole staff said it was a miracle that with his type of injury to be able to walk out on his own. Thank you Lord that guided this great surgeon's hands. for ever grateful to this great surgeon!

Dr Bhalla is a very conscientious and knowledge person and figured out my shoulder pain was actually a herniated disk in my cervical spine. He thoroughly explained my options for treatment and even suggested for me to get a second opinion before I decided to have surgery with him. The surgery was success and I'm very thankful for Dr. Bhalla's care during my whole ordeal.

Dr. Bhalla is an excellent physician and helped me immensely. I had shooting pain down my leg and my health department doctor either thought I was faking or didn't know what was wrong. I went to see Dr. Bhalla and before even looking at my x-rays or MRI's, he immediately said it was a bulging disc. Physical therapy wasn't an option because it was a bad case, but Dr. Bhalla told me what to expect before the surgery, during the surgery, and after it. He was genuinely concerned with how I was doing and looked very happy after I was healed. Long story short, if you need to see an orthopedic doctor, I would request to be seen by Dr. Bhalla. Excellent doctor!

I highly recommend Dr. Bhalla for any 'spine' issue that causes any amount of pain. His bedside manner is much, much better than most doctor's that I know...definitely a '5' star review...!

I can not rate Dr. Bhalla, as I never got to see him on this first appt. Therefore, I cannot rate him. His office staff was very cordial, pleasant, and helpful. The X-ray technician was very professional.

Dr. Bhalla was great. His office personnel were equally great. I was welcomed and well cared for. Dr. Bhalla was highly referred to me from another surgeon. I was very impressed at his welcoming but cut to the chase attitude. My only negative comment is that I received an exorbitant number of automated texts requesting to pay for the visit ahead of time. I paid when I was at the office.

The staff were very helpful and Dr. Bhalla is awesome! My only comment: can the staff fax/call pharmacy or doctor’s office for referral sooner. Rather than wait till the end of day to do these. It will be very helpful to us patient to do it twice a day? before going to lunch break and at the end of day to facilitate flow of patient care. Thank you!

Dr. Bhalla was very nice and was able to look at my X-ray and suggest a non-surgical remedy for my lower back problem. His entire was extremely nice and was in and out within an hour.

Good experience with Doctor and staff. Recommended. Did take quite some time to get an appointment though.

Strives to do the most conservative procedures before surgery is required.

The first 3 weeks was very painful then was able to walk with some pain and for 4 weeks my legs were getting better then woke up with pain in left knee tryed to walk and knee would buckle lasted for 2 weeks now everything is fine no pain when walking wish I would have meet Dr Bhalla 5 years ago when walking was very painful the surgery he did on my back fixed the problems I had when at least 4 doctors said it was old age and nothing they can do to help me send me two times to pain management Doctors which looked at my MRI and seen nothing Dr Bhalla looked at it and told me what needed to be done. I would recommend him to anyone with back problems to see him first i rate him 10 out of 10

He’s a very kind and polite doctor. Determining my exact pain issue is difficult but he tried the conservative solution. I like the fact that he also works with his father, my hip surgeon. I have confidence in his skills and approach. I do recommend him.

Dr. Ballah is friendly and attentive during visits. Cleared up a misunderstanding in regards to referral to PT and number of visits. Slight downside of an unfortunate long wait , but this seems to be the standard for the medical field.

The service at this a Office is crap. I waited more than two months for an appointment. They don't keep a wait list for cancellations and whenever I called there were none. When I showed up for my appointment all appointments had been cancelled for a last minute meeting. I was not notified.

Just went for an initial visit and did not even get to see the doctor. The physicians assistant was very good, and when I asked if I could see him she said, 'Sure, he can come in to say Hi'.....so I left. What's the point of waiting to say "Hi"? This is not right.

Dr. Bhalla, was the only spine surgeon ( in the office) while Dr.Yuan was on vacation. I had been a patient at memorial orthopaedic surgical group , for 6 yrs( 6 surgeries) my first surgery ( Dr Bhalla , assisted on) in which , I was re- admitted with MRSA. Dr. Bhalla refused , to see me! I was crying in pain, and his condescending staff thought it was funny. " we , asked he said he is not able, and willing to add you on the schedule " We are full" . I pleaded, nope. I had to go to the ER . Ct, scan , many attempts, to get pain back to manageable levels. Because, of the delay in care , I suffered longer and longer recovery from my "set back". Dr.Bhalla should have seen me,. Care, would have been consistent , and quicker. And, I may have been able to avoid the ER. The , whole incident was horrible, and upsetting. This lack of care, caught me off guard ( even. Though I'm a accustomed to receiving ( delayed, inconsistent , insensitive, and poor care since I became a patient here. I gave high reviews for pt, and Dr.Yuan for his surgical care. I was, not doing well at all , and in Excruciating pain, when I first started treatment with Dr. Yuan/ Jason Smith pt. Because, of this and how far I've come , I feel strongly my surgeries were worth it, and for the most part successful. ( I will always have pain, goal was always have tolerable/ manageable pain). I can walk , and with modifications related to my work ( so, far pain is in check) , walking longer( breaks , as needed. And, yes I have a regimen and also know what to do, when I have a flare up. I have had different medication's for nerve pain/ spasms, and moderate - high end pain. ( however, even though I stopped taking g them assp( pre/ post surgical , or flare up) they , often do not work. So, it's imperative for someone like me to receive care , in a timely and consistent manner from the same doctor, if not same office. At, the very least they could have quickly administered a toradol shot. In, the ER, I had to receive two, and oral medication ( editing too long was playing c"catch-up , for the entire visit. Show , care snd compassion. And prioritize patient care!

If you care about your health, your body, and your recovery, avoid this office at all costs. After waiting 1 month for an appointment he refused to listen to my concerns and dismissed them immediately. He was clearly trying to get in and out of the room as quick as possible. Shouldn't a doctor at least pretend like they care? Gave me no recommendations or medical advice either... Terrible experience and waste of my time.

Went to Dr Bhalla in such intense low back pain that I couldn't even sit in the chair in the exam room, I had to stand. I couldn't bend or hinge at the waist, my back and hip were in so much pain. I was told to take an ibuprofen and that I probably pulled a muscle. This is without ordering an MRI. As well, I told him it wasn't muscle pain (I know what muscle pain is from previous injuries) and that I had shooting pains down my leg (hello, nerve issue, duh). Thankfully I was finally able to get an MRI ordered from a doc who cares (and who was stunned that at my pain level and mobility limitation an MRI hadn't been ordered sooner). I have a sequestered disc which, in case you didn't know, isn't treated with ibuprofen. If you are a woman and in pain, Dr Bhalla seems unable to take your pain seriously. Find a doc who will, so you don't destroy your liver with constant OTC pain meds.

Do not visit this orthopedic surgeon! He will lead you on which is a big waste of time. I went to his office in December 2017 for severe radiculopathy and spine neurogenic claudication. I brought a MRI with me. At first, the staff couldnt load it into the computer. Then Dr. Bhalla requested additional MRI diagnostic testing including a lumbar MRI, X-rays with flexion extension studies which he preferred to have done at his office. I felt this surgeon kept me guessing and he didn't explain much in detail. Later I found that his dictated reports in my chart were incomplete and he even had the wrong dates of my past medical history. My second office visit in May 2018 was equally disappointing. His PA was trying to correct the mistakes in dictation that Dr. Bhalla had made in my patient chart. I asked to see Dr. Bhalla in person. Finally, he sauntered into the exam room smiling and even laughing at me. He never pinpointed what was the exact cause of my pain on my xrays. There was not much validation from him on my latest MRI study. There was no specific treatment plan or other options given to me. Then he insisted that I go see a pain specialist for a bilateral L4 transforaminal epidural injections. I was handed an unknown referral list from the internet. This orthopedic surgeon never explained the risk of developing long term complications from epidurals such as infection, diabetes, bone loss and weight gain etc. amongst other bad side effects from these steroids. He marked red ink all over my new CD-ROM diagnostic studies. There was no follow up appointment that was ever offered to me. A rude and condescending attitude doesn't even begin to describe this surgeon's bedside manner.
