Dr. Bhalla is a wonderful spine specialist! It was a big decision to have back surgery but I had lost the ability to carry on many normal activities in my daily life, and I was living with horrible pain. He not only addressed all of my concerns and fears, but he accomplished the surgery with amazing expertise! He has a very caring and calm demeanor, and I couldn't be happier with my results! I have never experienced that horrible pain since my surgery -- even in the early days of my recovery. I would recommend Dr. Bhalla to anybody in need of spine excellent care! He's the BEST!!

My spinal stenosis is severe, but I just wasn't ready for a back surgery so soon after having both hips replaced. Dr. Bhalla and I proceeded with the less invasive Spinal/Epidural which unfortunately, did not give me the improvement I was looking for. When, and only when I was ready, did we proceed with a Laminectomy and Diskecotomy. I am exactly 1 week past surgery and the future looks bright! So glad to be in such good hands. Will report back after all healing is done...Five Gold Stars from me!!!

I someb managed to mess up my back pretty bad Memorial Day weekend. I contacted dr Bhalla's office on a Tuesday morning and got an appointment for the next day. He scheduled me for a MRI on Thursday. Got results Friday morning and the GOOD doctor said I needed surgery. My pain level on a 1-10 scale was approximately 17! He got his team together and managed to get me into the hospital that afternoon and performed surgery at 6:00AM the following day. When I recovered from the anesthetic the pain was gone. It's important to note the he had things on his agenda that took him out of the country but that did not stop him from making a follow up call to assure all was well. He also arranged for my release the next day. I'm grateful to have had a skilled and caring doctor. Hopefully I won't need his surgical skills in the future. Well, I had another problem with my lower back that required the GOOD doctor do another surgery in January. As hoped and believed, it had great results. I just left his office about 20 minutes ago for a follow up check and ALL IS WELL!! Thanx again!!

This is a top notch diagnostician, physician, surgeon. His manner is kind, un-rushed and he listens. He also knows his stuff. I am a professional musician and had I not sought treatment it's possible I might have lost significant dexterity. As it turned out, the surgery was a tremendous success and I have renewed dexterity at the keyboard, especially with my left hand (the one with the most noticeable decline) which has lifted a huge worry and put me back in my game with new speed. He has a kind and gentle spirit. By the way, even at his younger age, I am of the understanding that he presents at medical conferences. His credentials are impressive. I am grateful that not only did I not permanently lose my ability to play, I regained what I had lost.

Thank you to Dr. Bhalla and the wonderful nursing and surgery teams at LB Memorial Care! I was in a lot of pain from herniated cervical discs going on several months. Rest, meds, PT was not improving so when I got my MRI and then an ortho surgery consult, I knew my situation was steadily getting worse and I was barely managing my day to day activities. However I'm pretty conservative with surgery as an option. Previous issues with carpal tunnel like symptoms had 2 hand surgeons wanting to cut me open with little discussion on why or how or preventative care or alternative options. So I'm a skeptic and firmly believe in researching and educating myself on not only the medical condition but also the practitioner treating me. What gave me no doubt to trust Dr. Bhalla beyond his credentials and extensive papers and research contributions was his ability to genuinely connect and convey trust. I've never met a surgeon who wasn't so talented and confident that it comes across as arrogant and that typically makes me distrust them. Not a great way to start a relationship where your way of life is literally in their hands. Dr. Bhalla was succinct but sincere and thorough with my endless questions of what when why how and what ifs. I think I even asked the same question in 3 different ways on 2 separate visits. The surgery went well along with my immediate and ongoing recovery so far. Pain free right after surgery and so grateful to have a great quality of life again. I've always told my own clients to never proceed with surgery or a doctor's treatment unless you completely trust them and the team and I followed my own advice here. Went through alot a pain from having a bulging disc for over a year. I came to DR bhalla for a second opinion from my previous DR. I liked the way he treated me and gave me answers I was looking for . Treated me with respect and I followed through with surgery on L4-L-5 decectomy . Dr. Bhalla is very personable and will listen if you have solid information. Considering I am probably not the most patient patient he has been very accommodating and always makes time in his busy schedule to talk for a few minutes. He is very kind and compassionate. I am still recovering post-op spine surgery and Dr. Bhalla took me on as a referral from another surgeon who was not sure he could give me the best care and treatment. I know my case was not the easiest so my apologies if I caused any problems. All in all, Dr. Bhalla and his team at Memorial Orthopedic Spine are amazing. And thanks to Physician's Assistant Makell Murphy PA-C who has been great and answers all my dumb questions that I was silly to Google in the first place.

Amazing, caring doctor! Took my 85 year old father to him after our primary doctor referred us. My father had suffered a complete collapse of his T-7 and compression on the spinal cord from a previous car accident and I was extremely nervous about the major surgery he was about to undergo to reinforce his spine. Dr. Bhalla calmed my fears and did an excellent job with the 2 rods and 12 screws he put in his back. This surgery saved my dad from becoming completely paralyzed. Very grateful to Dr. Bhalla!
