Dr. Estess is a great doctor. I came to her complaining of ongoing lower back pain and she provided me with a few options. One of which was to get an MRI just to be safe, so I decided to go with that. Turns out, I have two herniated discs in my back! No idea how! Again, she went over a few options with me and I'll be starting physical therapy soon to see if it helps. I'd recommend her to anyone. I felt very comfortable the entire time and I felt like she really listened to me :)

Dr Estess is an amazing doctor I broke my knee cap in 7 pieces on dec. 7,2016 and did an amazing job on repairing my knee cap which I thought would be totally impossible just had the hardware taken out and will be on my way to recovery thanks to her and the staff I highly recommend her if you need a great doctor. I unfortunately had a work related injury as a public safety employee and was out of commission for a shorter time than I expected. Dr.Estess went to bat for me with workers comp. What a nightmare that was! Dr. Estess was relentless in regards to ensuring I received the highest level of medical care for my much needed surgery. Her bed-side manner, attention to detail and approachable persona is paramount, compared to other doctors I've seen. She explains every step of the surgery and PT process thoroughly. I highly recommend Doctor Allyson Estess and the staff at this facility.

I know how daunting it can be to try to find a great doctor - I must have looked online at over a dozen different doctors trying to find one that both 1. took my insurance and 2. had great reviews. Dr. Estess is an amazing doctor. I started seeing her last year for shoulder problems after seeing another doctor with no improvements. As a photographer, I rely on my shoulder in my line of work. Dr. Estess listened to my concerns and gave me options. Although she is a surgeon, she suggested non-surgical approaches first. It can be scary to not know if you will ever regain full use of your arm, Dr. Estess explained everything thoroughly and honestly. Plus, she has a good sense of humor. She also has an office in El Segundo. Both offices have physical therapists. Pros: Listens to you Takes your lifestyle into consideration ON TIME - no waiting thirty minutes or more past your appointment time On-site physical therapists Free plentiful parking at the Torrance location Modern, clean, airy office The Torrance office can be a little difficult to find the first time - the building is behind the TGIF Fridays and Olive Garden. Cons: El Segundo location has a paid parking lot, no street parking No weekend hours

This was my first appointment with Dr. Estess. She is an incredibly down-to-earth, friendly, compassionate, and competent orthopedic doctor. All of my concerns were thoughtfully received and collaboratively considered when determining my treatment plan. Office communication is poor. Instead of getting a live person, you get a recording that says to leave a message. Then, "If we don't call you back in an hour, call again." I called again in two hours and got the same message. This has happened multiple times. The first line of contact should not be no contact! And disconcerting if one is in pain and hoping for treatment sooner, rather than later. Dr. Estess, herself, is personable and gave me brief explanations of what could be done. I would have preferred more detailed explanations/descriptions. I was set up for an MRI, but no appointment to return and discuss. I had to call back and go around the "message system" to get a follow-up appointment. All staff members were pleasant and easy to deal with, in person.
